MenuTrinfo Announcing the Launch of the AllerTrain website

AllerTrain Food Allergy and Gluten-Free TrainingMenuTrinfo is proud to introduce the launch of their AllerTrain website  (www.AllerTrain.com). The company created the AllerTrain food allergy training program 5 years ago in an effort to provide food safety protocol and guidelines for foodservice professionals. The first AllerTrain courses were offered in November of 2011. AllerTrain has since expanded the Suite of Courses to fit the needs of any food service establishment, from restaurants to universities to K-12 schools. The service is now available online as a one-stop hub for training in multiple formats and supporting training materials.

The idea to launch a website solely devoted to AllerTrain stemmed from an increase in demand for food safety training. “We’re getting more and more requests for food allergy training. It’s so encouraging to know that foodservice operators want to take the necessary steps to make sure their diners are safe. It’s important to us. And it’s important to make sure that people know AllerTrain is the nation’s leading solution for food allergy and gluten-free training,” says Betsy Craig, Founder and CEO of MenuTrinfo.

MenuTrinfo clients have also found the training to be invaluable. “Our partnership with AllerTrain has shown our guests that we care about them. In fact, our allergy program is our number one compliment that we receive at the office thanking us for taking the time to educate our team members,” says Bill Moore, Director of Safety and Security for Eat’n Park Hospitality Group. Likewise, Beth Winthrop, National Director for Wellness at Sodexo also has found the AllerTrain program beneficial. Beth states, “Addressing food allergies and gluten-free together reduces operator confusion. I’ve noticed an increase in effectiveness since training all members of the management and culinary team, rather than just a few key people.”

The AllerTrain site offers a Suite of Courses designed to educate a wide variety of food handlers and non-food handlers about food allergies. AllerTrain and AllerTrain Lite are the only ANSI (American National Standards Institute) food allergy specific training courses available today. Courses can be accessed through a variety of methods including instructor-led webinars or through e-learning. Additionally, training materials such as the AllerSTAR monthly poster program which covers food safety topics meant to be utilized for restaurant pre-shift or all-staff meetings, AllerCards and other training tools can be accessed on AllerTrain.com.

Though all materials and information will now live on AllerTrain.com, MenuTrinfo itself will remain unchanged offering nutritional services, gluten-free certification and menu label consulting.

MenuTrinfo is dedicated to helping foodservice operators protect the lives and health of their customers by meeting or exceeding new nutritional labeling regulations as required by law and by partnering with restaurants to provide safe products and procedures that meet a wide range of dietary restrictions. MenuTrinfo’s complete suite of services include menu analysis, certification and training in the areas of gluten-free menus, specialty menu development, nutritional counseling and policy development. AllerTrain by MenuTrinfo is designed to educate food handlers and non-food handlers about food allergy safety and protocol. The company’s nutritional analysis is the only full-service solution for nutritional labeling that is insured and based on an FDA-approved process. MenuTrinfo clients cover the spectrum of foodservice, from large universities to restaurants and catering operations. For more information, go to www.MenuTrinfo.com or call 970-295-4370.
