Arooga's Amps Up National Doughnut Day with Free Doughnut Burger on Friday, June 3

Arooga's Amps Up National Doughnut Day with Free Doughnut Burger on Friday, June 3Every doughnut has its day, and on Friday, June 3 – National Doughnut Day – Arooga’s will make that day twice as nice for its guests who like their burgers served inside a doughnut.

Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar, the Harrisburg, PA-based award-winning full-service casual dining restaurant and bar, is doubling down on its newest culinary creation with a buy one-get one free offer (an $11.99 value) on The Wagyu Doughnut Burger, which is unlike any burger you’ve ever seen or any doughnut you’ve ever tasted.

“You read that right, it’s a burger inside of a glazed doughnut split and toasted as a bun,” said Gary Huether, Jr., president and co-founder of the restaurant industry darling Arooga’s. “We feature a grain-fed, free-range Wagyu Kobe burger topped with crispy Applewood smoked bacon, creamy American cheese and served on a, well, you know.”

The Wagyu Doughnut Burger was introduced earlier this month as one of three new masterpieces created by Arooga’s to be featured during National Burger Month in May. The others include a Wagyu Pretzel Cordon Burger, Arooga’s flavorful Wagyu Kobe burger topped with grilled ham and Swiss cheese, and served on a fresh pretzel roll brushed with honey mustard dressing, and a Wagyu Parmesan Burger – Arooga’s juicy, no antibiotics ever Wagyu Kobe burger topped with hand-cut and hand-breaded mozzarella triangles ladled with house marinara, sprinkled with shaved Parmesan cheese and served on an all-natural Brioche bun.

“We always push the culinary envelope and these may be our most creative burgers yet,” continued Huether, Jr. “They are all fantastic but the Wagyu Doughnut Burger has the biggest ‘wow’ factor of anything on the menu. Our guests are stunned by the way it looks and amazed by the way it tastes.”

All Arooga’s burgers are served with House-made Coleslaw, Natural Cut Fries or House Chips. Arooga’s guests may substitute for $1 and choose between Beer-battered Onion Rings or Tater Tots; for $2, Loaded Fries, Bleu Chips or Mac N Cheese or for $3, can add Bowl of Soup, Lobsta Shells N Cheese, House, Caesar, Spinach or Chopped Salad.

Arooga’s is one of America’s hottest restaurant concepts. In addition to 10 corporate restaurants, the brand, once selected as America’s Next Top Restaurant Franchise, began franchising in 2014, signing its first agreement with the Mohegan Tribe for 15 units who just opened their second location in Warwick, RI.   Arooga’s has since made deals for nearly 100 units across the East Coast and plans to open five franchise units in 2016.

Arooga’s Free Wagyu Doughnut Burger with the purchase of one and a beverage is limited to one offer per check and is valid for dine-in only. The offer cannot be used in conjunction with other offers or discounts. Price and participation may vary. Guests are encouraged to call their local Arooga’s for more details.
