Arooga’s Teams Up with Ace Distributing, Kirchner’s and Wilsbach Distributors, Inc. for the Cause; $1 From Every Angry Orchard Pint Sold During the Month Will Benefit Breast Cancer
A year after raising $2500 for the Feel Your Boobies Foundation and keeping its word as being a steward in the communities it serves, Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar is at it again.
The region’s favorite sports bar is hosting a month-long fundraiser beginning October 1st to benefit the non-profit breast cancer organization, which promotes proactive breast health in young women. In partnership with Ace Distributing, Kirchner’s and Wilsbach Distributors, Inc., Arooga’s will donate $1 from every Angry Orchard draft sold at all 10 of its Pennsylvania locations for the entire month of October.
“Part of Arooga’s mission is to serve, and we got a great start last year for this worthy cause and we are determined to raise even more money this year,” said Gary Huether, Jr., co-founder and president of Arooga’s. “We’re thrilled to collaborate with our distributing partners for yet another year in support of the Feel Your Boobies Foundation, and are hopeful that our guests will come out and support a great cause.”
“We are so excited to be partnering with Arooga’s, Wilsbach Distributors, and Ace Distributing again this year for a breast cancer awareness promotion,” said Leigh Hurst, founder and president of Feel Your Boobies Foundation. “Their support not only allows us to spread our message to all Arooga’s customers, but also helps us fund our College Outreach Program, which provides free breast health education materials to over 200 college health centers nationwide.”
“Wilsbach is thrilled to once again partner with Arooga’s and the Feel Your Boobies Foundation for this fundraising campaign,” said Jess Horn, Craft Brand Manager with Wilsbach Distributors, Inc. “We saw such success last year that we are excited to see what this year brings.”
“Ace Distributing is pleased to work together with Arooga’s and Angry Orchard, two truly great community partners to raise necessary funds for the Feel Your Boobies Foundation,” said Nate Fochtman, Vice President Craft & Business Development with Ace Distributing. “Ace prides itself in being a strong community member. Only with great partners can we achieve our goals in the community.”
“We are glad to partner with Arooga’s on this promotion,” said Matt Kirchner with Kirchner’s. “I cannot think of a better fit for this promotion than Angry Orchard, the country’s number one selling cider. It’s a great cause.”

Kirchner’s is Lancaster PA’s largest wholesale beverage distributor, specializing in quality domestic, micro, craft, & import beers since 1933.
Wilsbach began operation in 1933 in a small garage in uptown Harrisburg with Ballantine and Anheuser-Busch Inc as the first two suppliers. Realizing the need for more space, a new warehouse was built on 7th Street in Harrisburg.
As suppliers were added and sales increased – it was time to build again. In 1972, Wilsbach Distributors, Inc. moved to Linglestown Road outside Harrisburg and remained there until 1999. In 1999, Wilsbach built their current location – an 80,000 sq ft facility in Harrisburg off I-83 in Susquehanna Township.
The Sourbeer Family purchased the business in 1988 and continues to run the business today. Under their tutelage, Wilsbach has become Central Pennsylvania’s #1 malt beverage distributor with a portfolio that now includes 31 of the finest Domestic, Import and Craft suppliers from around the World.
Ace Distributing was founded in 1948 by Jimmie and Nick Spagnola, currently owned by Jeff Reeder and Tim Strickler since 1988. Throughout the years the company has expanded its distribution opportunities and portfolio of brands, spreading across six counties in South Central Pennsylvania and representing over sixty-four breweries from the United States and globally.
Ace Distributing has been recently recognized nationally for their market strategy with a 2014 & 2013 Craft Beer Distributor of the Year nomination by the Brewer’s Association & National Beer Wholesalers Association, as well as Beverage Trade Network’s “2014 Leading Craft Beer Distributors in the USA.”
