Harrisburg-born and Harrisburg-proud Arooga’s welcomes Zeroday, an up-and-coming Harrisburg brewery, to their extensive draft lineup at their downtown Harrisburg location with the addition of two drafts: Mango Habanero Pale Ale and Zeroday IPA Ep.4, which will kick off with an event on Friday, October 23rd at 5:30 p.m. at Arooga’s downtown Harrisburg restaurant.

As part of Arooga’s “think local, drink local” initiative, the region’s favorite sports bar will donate 5% of the sales of Zeroday drafts starting October 23 to Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area. In addition, Zeroday will be tapping a firkin (Mango Habanero Pale Ale aged on peaches) on October 23rd to celebrate the partnership. Arooga’s will be donating 100% of those sales to the same charitable organization.

“Harrisburg is near and dear to the heart of Arooga’s and we pledge to do all we can to vitalize the city, support local businesses like Zeroday and contribute to organizations like Habitat,” said Gary Huether, Jr., co-founder and president of Arooga’s. “With this event, we’ll do all three.”

“We are very excited for this partnership with Arooga’s and Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area,” said Brandalynn Armstrong, co-owner of Zeroday Brewing Company. “It’s really important for us to give back to the community that has helped build us and support us. Habitat for Humanity is a great cause, and we’re thrilled that our beer will in effect be able to help provide homes for those in need.”

“We are excited to partner with Arooga’s and Zeroday in this fundraising event,” said Bill Wood, executive director of Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Harrisburg Area. “Less than one third of our funding comes from the government, and partnerships like this one, as well as donations from the public, enable us to further serve our community as we strive to eliminate poverty housing in the Greater Harrisburg Area.”
