For the second time in three years, Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar co-founder and president Gary Huether, Jr., has been recognized by the restaurant industry’s leading resource, Nation’s Restaurant News, being named to NRN’s 2017 The Power List: Reader Picks.
Nation’s Restaurant News, which uses its own expertise – comprised of its best-in-class editors booking an aggregate of more than 100 years covering the foodservice industry – to choose its annual The Power List, turned to its audience beginning in 2015 to crowdsource its Reader Picks. Huether, Jr. is Baltimore-born, Central Pennsylvania raised, growing up in Mechanicsburg and graduating from Trinity High School in Camp Hill, Pa. Ever ambitious, he attended college while working full time for Snap-On Tools, and quickly transitioned into the role of franchise owner, eventually owning several franchises by the young age of 21. He was 25 when he was presented with an opportunity to take over ownership of a local bar in Harrisburg where he discovered his passion for restaurants, and he and his Arooga’s brand haven’t looked back since.
