On Monday, April 20, 2015, Award-Winning Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar Will Show Off its Restaurant Credo of Fresh Items with High Quality Ingredients, All Made-to-Order With a Deal Impossible to Pass Up
Arooga’s is giving new guests, or those who haven’t been to Arooga’s in a while, the perfect reason to visit or return: a revitalized menu concept and 50% off all items on launch day, Monday, April 20, 2015 at its corporate owned Pennsylvania locations.
Arooga’s Grille House & Sports Bar, with nine locations in Central Pennsylvania- soon to be ten with its newest location in Lancaster – today announced it is launching its latest menu which takes its restaurant credo; preparing all items made-to-order with fresh, high-quality ingredients in order to ensure the most crave-able flavors possible, to the next level by introducing new items and showcasing some old favorites
And, in order to entice guests to visit Arooga’s for the first time or return, Arooga’s corporate locations will offer 50% off everything on the menu, excluding alcohol, on launch day from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Some of the new and updated items and options on the new menu include:
- Apple Walnut Chopped Salad
- Chicken and Waffle sandwich
- Warm Maple Cinnamon Soft Pretzel
- New option to add crispy bacon crumbles to wings
- A Vegan Menu item: Black Bean Burger
All Arooga’s locations are certified Gluten Free by the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness. More than 50 menu items are certified Gluten Free or offer Gluten Free options, and they take special care to ensure those options are conveniently labeled on the menu. Arooga’s also has continued its trend in offering items that are all natural, such as their Wagyu Kobe burger line up, and has hopes of eventually transitioning all of its menu items to contain only all natural and organic ingredients. Also, due to the popularity of their unique burger concept, Bacon Grind Burgers, which were featured last month as a limited time offer, Arooga’s has decided to make them a permanent fixture to their menu line up. Guests will also see their old favorites such as the Arooga’s Crab Pretzel, Pittsburgher, and, as always, their world famous wings tossed in one of their National Buffalo Wing Festival Award Winning sauces.
“Our revamped menu items signals a new beginning for Arooga’s. Our company initiative is to, over the next several years, transition our menu to be completely all natural and organic,” said Arooga’s co-founder and president Gary Huether, Jr. “It started with our addition of the steroid, hormone, and antibiotic free, grain fed Wagyu Kobe burgers to our menu. We have also transitioned all of our soups and dips to be MSG, Trans Fat, and Azodicarbonamide free and contain all natural ingredients, and we recently released our limited time offer Organic Chicken Noodle Soup, which is our first USDA Organic menu item. If you’ve never been to Arooga’,s or haven’t been for some time, we wanted to provide an offer on launch day so we can see you and show you our awesome new menu.”
Although Arooga’s is famous for its energetic environment, 100 TVs per restaurant and seemingly endless draft beer options, the concept has always taken its food very seriously and it has drawn raves. Arooga’s cleans house every year with local awards, even receiving a “Best of Harrisburg” Business Hall of Fame home as an award recipient for seven consecutive years, in as many years of eligibility. Arooga’s won the most categories in the annual Reader Favorites list, sponsored by Susquehanna Style Magazine, including Best Bar Food, Best Burger, Casual Date Spot, Happy Hour Spot, Neighborhood Bar, and Best Wings.
The concept also topped the readers’ favorite poll for Best Sports Bar and Best Wings in Harrisburg Magazine’s highly coveted “Simply the Best” awards. Arooga’s has won both categories for the past six years, in as many years of eligibility. In addition, Arooga’s Signature Wing Sauces are five time award winners at the National Buffalo Wing Festival, the crown jewel of wing contests.
“We love our atmosphere here but if the food isn’t fantastic, guests won’t come back,” continued Huether, Jr. “We’re always looking to improve quality, from ingredients to preparation. Even if something is great now, we are looking for ways to make it better. That’s how we roll.”
