Black Bear Diner, a one-of-a-kind family dining franchise concept featuring a fun, bear-themed atmosphere, announced today its newest restaurant addition to the Black Bear Diner family in Visalia, California. The addition of the Visalia location marks the 62nd location for the rapidly expanding franchise. The restaurant is located at 900 S Mooney Boulevard and offers bear-sized breakfast, lunch and dinner.
“We are thrilled to add another Central Valley location to our franchise family,” said Bruce Dean, co-founder of Black Bear Diner. “We have experienced tremendous success in California’s Central Valley corridor and this opportunity made sense for our brand and for our strategic growth plans.”
Black Bear Diner is a 62-unit regional chain spread across eight western states. The brand is steadily growing and is projected to have 100 units by 2018. The award-wining, family dining franchise offers bear-sized portions at an excellent value, and features a unique bear-inspired theme and experience. The log cabin and bear-inspired décor creates a warmth and coziness that reminds guests of time when life was a little more simple, and service and quality were the cornerstone of business. All Black Bear Diners showcase custom-carved wood bear sculptures and a bear-inspired mural.
Founded in Mt. Shasta, California in 1995 by Bruce Dean and partners Bob and Laurie Manley, Black Bear Diner was born from a desire to bring home-style comfort food classics and personal service back to the dining experience. This family dining franchise concept offers a vast menu anchored on hearty portions and excellent value. The franchise organization has grown to 62 locations in eight states including Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, Washington and Utah.
