With 1,831 restaurants across the country, $4.1 billion in annual revenue and a brand among the most well-known in the nation, it’s not too much of a surprise that Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. boasts an impressive social media following as well.

But with nearly 4 million followers across a wide array of social networks, the five-person social media team at Chipotle (NYSE: CMG) – headed by manager Joe Stupp – balancing customer interaction with a marketing strategy can be a challenge.

Does that stop Stupp, along with company social media strategists Rusty Partch, Myra Ryder, Candice Stewart and James Dannatt? Not a chance.

Chipotle’s social media channels are all about the personal touch, which is why the Denver-based fast-casual chain has a solid 85 Klout score and social media channels chock full of comments, shares and likes.
