Known for its bold outside-the-box approach and fresh, fast Mexican food, Southern California-based restaurant chain, Chronic Tacos, has agreed to place a restaurant inside Angel Stadium. Located in section 240, in the Field Terrace Level, the new restaurant will launch on Opening Day, April 6. It will feature the brand’s unique combination of authentic third-generation Mexican food with California style and creativity.
“Chronic Tacos and the Angels are a great fit,” said Randy Wyner, founder of Chronic Tacos Enterprises. “Both are SoCal teams that Californians support with enthusiasm and both have a long history of success and giving back to community. We’re basically two locals joining together for the good of our mutual fans.”
The restaurant replaces Angelitos, an in-house food stand, and will offer the chain’s signature assemble-as-you-go burritos, bowls and tacos, as well as two new menu items. To celebrate this new location, the Chronic team has created Chronic Park Nachos and Chronic Park Fries that will be sold exclusively in Angel Stadium. The new products are a combination of Chronic Tacos quality and classic ballpark style.
“The latest concession changes come as Angel Stadium continues to revamp its food offerings to cater to a number of fan demands. Coming this year are bigger nachos, premium burgers, more Mexican dishes, house-made pretzels and pizza by the slice,” said David Lippan, Aramark’s assistant general manager.
Chronic Tacos is a Southern California restaurant chain with a vigorous cult following and over thirty restaurants and cantinas. Past promotions include a restaurant makeover by West Coast Customs and support of other California sports that include surfing, motocross racing, skating and BMX events.
