Chicken chain leverages mobile app to engage guests and build brand loyalty
Church’s Chicken, one of the largest quick-service chicken chains, is partnering with The Coca-Cola Company to present a summer promotion that takes winning mobile. The Coca-Cola & Church’s Ultimate Cup Holder Giveaway kicks off June 29, 2015 and drives fans to their mobile phones to check if they have the winning codes for various prizes- the grand prize of a Ford Explorer or a number of other prizes including Church’s gift certificates, gift cards and free food from the restaurant. To receive a promotional code, guests must purchase a 22 or 30 oz. drink from participating Church’s Chicken restaurants between June 29-July 26, 2015. The qualifying beverage cups will have a Peel-Off sticker with a code. Guests can redeem their code through the
Church’s Chicken app or at www.churchsgiveaway.com through August 21, 2015.*

By going mobile, fans may find out if they won instantly, and it allows us to deliver the prizes, especially in the case of food prizes, in the same platforms.”
For each drink purchased between June 29-July 26, 2015, guests will receive a code that may unlock a prize. Church’s is encouraging mobile engagement by directing guests to their free app to check their codes. They simply need to enter their codes on their phones and will receive notices via the app. For food prizes, Church’s is automatically adding credits to the users’ app accounts, so they may access the free food straight from their phones- redeemable at participating stores.
Online users may visit www.churchsgiveaway.com to check their codes. Guests who win will find out instantly after entering their code online and then will receive a confirmation email with details about their prize. Guests who win a food prize will receive a coupon delivered to their email within 24-48 hours and can redeem their coupon at participating stores.
“By offering ‘instant’ access to their winnings and multiple chances for winning, we want to drive guests back for more,” said Tabachnikoff. “Past promotions featuring a car proved successful for Church’s. By including secondary prizes of gift cards and free food, we’re adding to the excitement for a chance to win.”
