Cowboy Chicken Welcomes Home an East Texan.
Cowboy Chicken, the popular nine-unit Dallas-based fast casual wood fire rotisserie chicken brand, has been open in its North Longview location since December of 2010. At Cowboy Chicken, diners experience a family friendly atmosphere and southern home cooking. Walk through the swinging doors, and you are greeted with a good ole Texas “Howdy” and a smile, making Cowboy Chicken right at home here in the Piney Woods of East Texas.
Cowboy Chicken believes in doing one thing and doing it right! But, the rotisserie chicken is not the only thing that’s done right. The company believes in family values, genuine customer service, and giving back to the community.
The values at the core of this brand are what brought General Manager Brad Everett back home to Longview, TX. Everett moved home to Longview after accepting the management position at Cowboy Chicken earlier last year. Everett had been away from Longview for too long, and knew it was time to move his family back to his hometown to be closer to family, friends, and that good ole Texas hospitality. Everett has been working in the restaurant industry since the mid 80’s in cities all over the United States. In 2012 he made the decision to move back home to Texas, and began looking for job opportunities in Longview. When he found Cowboy Chicken, he knew immediately that working with this company was the right choice. He accepted the job as General Manager of the Longview location, and moved home shortly after. “I am happy to be home and working for a Texas based company that prides itself in upholding good old southern values and treating each guest like family”, Everett said. At Cowboy Chicken they greet each guest with a “Howdy!” and ask them to return soon with a “Ya’ll come back now!” It must be a Texas thing, after all Tejas does mean “friends”.
For over 30 years, the Cowboys at Cowboy Chicken have been cooking all natural chicken over a wood-burning fire, and today guests enjoy the same delicious wood-fired rotisserie chicken along with seventeen fresh, made from scratch sides. Since its humble beginnings in 1981, Cowboy Chicken has perfected the taste of chicken on a wood burning rotisserie and created the now famous Twice-Baked “Potaters”. Other long time favorites are the famous Cowboy Chicken Enchiladas stuffed full of all white meat rotisserie chicken. Homemade peach cobbler finishes off any meal, and both the award-winning chicken enchiladas and homemade cobbler have been on the menu since Cowboy’s inception, thirty years ago. Cowboy Chicken also features healthy, fresh salads and sandwiches, grilled skinless chicken breast, and nutritious sides such as seasonal fruit, baked sweet potato, green beans, and Campfire Veggies.
