New treats combine two candies for flavor-packed Blizzard
When iconic brands like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Reese’s Pieces and DQ soft serve come together, anything is possible.
The Dairy Queen system, a Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRK.A and BRK.B) company, has given new meaning to the word extreme with two new iconic Reese’s inspired innovations that are breaking all the rules.
For the first time ever, DQ has combined Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Reese’s Pieces with its signature soft serve to create the new Reese’s Extreme Blizzard Treat and new DQ Bakes! menu item Reese’s Extreme Brownie a la Mode hot-from-the-oven available at participating DQ and DQ Grill & Chill locations nationwide on March 27.
“We’ve taken the treat experience to a whole new level combining two of the world’s most favorite candies with our soft serve,” said Barry Westrum, Executive Vice President of Marketing for American Dairy Queen Corporation (ADQ). “Innovation is part of our DNA and creating the ultimate taste sensation is what we do best. We are always reimagining our treats to bring our fans incredible flavors, quality and value.”
DQ fans can get the two-to-one candy advantage with the new Reese’s Extreme Blizzard Treat, a sweet explosion of taste and texture combining smooth Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, crunchy Reese’s Pieces and chocolate and peanut butter topping hand blended together with DQ’s vanilla soft serve. Blizzard Treats are made to order and are offered in four sizes, including the popular Mini.
In addition to the Reese’s Extreme Blizzard, fans will also enjoy the newest hot-from-the-oven dessert on the DQ Bakes! menu. Reese’s Extreme Brownie a la Mode is a delectable dessert of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, Reese’s Pieces and creamy peanut butter topping layered over a hot Triple Chocolate Brownie that’s finished with rich cocoa fudge and DQ vanilla soft serve.
The Reese’s Extreme Brownie a la Mode is the latest innovation to come from the DQ Bakes! Institute, which was established to further inspire, develop and enhance future innovation coming from the DQ kitchen — ultimately, creating new and unique taste experiences fans can’t get anywhere else.
