Blue Plate Specials are an iconic part of the American diner heritage, and this summer they are back at Denny’s with the new limited-time “Red, White and Blue Plate Specials” menu. Featuring a variety of comfort food favorites, all with a Denny’s twist, the menu gives guests the chance to enjoy a nostalgic taste of all-American classics.

Guests can kick-start their day with the Red, White and Blue Pancakes Breakfast, featuring blueberry buttermilk pancakes topped with sliced fresh strawberries, cream cheese icing and whipped cream, or the sinfully sweet Apple Pie French Toast, served with two eggs cooked to order and choice of two sausage links or bacon strips.
Home-cooked favorites are given Denny’s signature spin with offerings including the Farmhouse Sausage Skillet, classic Homestyle Fried Chicken Sandwich, juicy Bourbon Bacon Burger, Bourbon Chicken Skillet and the BBQ Pepper Jack Country-Fried Steak.
No Blue Plate Special would be complete without a sweet treat. Denny’s new Red, White and Blue Milk Shakes are made with premium vanilla ice cream and come in variety of flavors including tempting Strawberry Cheesecake, Lemon Icebox Pie and Blueberry Cheesecake. Diners may also enjoy a refreshing finish to their meal with the White Lemon Chill, featuring a tasty blend of lemon and nonfat yogurt for a frozen treat that’s great any time of day.
What’s more, following Denny’s overhaul of its coffee system and in-house blends earlier in the year, the menu boasts two new summer coffee drinks. The Frosty Roast combines vanilla and coffee with ice to create a cool and creamy frozen drink, while the new Iced Coffee is a perfect pick-me-up on a warm day.
