Dickey’s Slow Smoked Meats Heading to Olympia

The world’s largest barbecue franchise is heading to Olympia. Franchise owner Gina Young is excited to be joining the Dickey’s family.

“After visiting Texas and eating at Dickey’s Barbecue we knew that we wanted to own our own,” said Young. “We’re excited to be bringing authentic barbecue to Washington.”

The new store will be located at 1001 Cooper Point Rd. SW, Suite 175, near the state capital and Evergreen State College. According to Young, she hopes to open her location in early August.

“Gina is an enthusiastic owner and I’m excited about this new location in Olympia,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “Washington has been a growing area for our franchises.”

The world’s largest barbecue franchise added over 66 stores last year and is planning to add 100 new locations nationwide in 2012.

Dickey’s Barbecue offers a quality selection of signature meats, home style sides and tangy barbecue sauce. All meats are slow smoked on-site in each restaurant. For more information, including a full menu, other restaurant locations and franchising opportunities, please visit www.dickeys.com.
