Dickey’s Springs Into Its Newest Location



Dickey’s Barbecue has found a new location in Colorado Springs. Franchise owners, Bob and Barbara Rusnak are excited to get construction going on their new location.

“Everyone is excited to hear a new barbecue restaurant is coming to town,” said Bob Rusnak. “Many people here have lived in Texas and are familiar with Dickey’s — they are extremely happy that we are coming to Colorado Springs.”

The new location is at 1466 Garden of the Gods Rd, Suite 160. The site is adjacent to the former Intel Campus, now housing numerous El Paso County government offices and Everett University. The new store is within five miles of the Garden of the Gods and the University of Colorado.

According to Bob he hopes to open this new location in July and is considering expanding north after he opens this first location.

Dickey’s Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey’s began franchising in 1994 and has continued to grow across the country. Dickey’s currently has more than 220 locations in 40 states nationwide.
