Acclaimed gourmet hot dog, sausage and burger concept keeps Absolute Würst Sausage Series rolling with beer pairing to kick off National Grilling Month
Dog Haus will unveil its exceptional and edible take on American culture, highlighting its culinary ingenuity in the würst industry starting Saturday, July 1.
The Americana Sausage is a fusion of two classics loved by both kids and kids-at-heart: hot dogs and macaroni and cheese. An all-beef sausage flavored with garlic, coriander, black pepper and more spices, with hints of elbow macaroni and Cheddar cheese – this month’s link delivers a patriotic, savory journey worth reliving again and again.
“Dog Haus is THE place for an elevated, kick-ass twist on the all-American classic comfort food in more ways than you can imagine – that you can’t find anywhere else,” said Würstmacher Adam Gertler. “Our Americana Sausage is the ultimate indulgence for our fans looking for a unique twist to their meal and celebrate the Fourth of July all month long. Without a doubt, it’s worth giving it a shot before we run out.”
To enhance the Absolute Würst Sausage Series experience, Dog Haus will be recommending a beverage every month to pair with each sausage for the remainder of the series. For a true American-style pairing and toast to National Grilling Month, this month’s suggested beer is a Pabst Blue Ribbon to compliment the Americana Sausage.
Guests are invited to enjoy the Americana Sausage in four ways: the “Würst Way” with cheese sauce, haus slaw, crispy onions and haus BBQ sauce on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls; “Your Way” with their favorite toppings; the “Corn Dog Way” covered in Dog Haus’ signature root beer batter with haus BBQ sauce; or the “Breakfast Way” with three eggs, crispy tots, caramelized onions, American cheese and spicy mayo, wrapped burrito-style in a grilled flour tortilla.
Tasked by Co-Founding Partner Hagop Giragossian to create a string of innovative sausages year-round, Gertler has put his freshest and wildest culinary ideas to the test — delivering hit after hit each month. From Nashville Hot Chicken to the Korean BBQ Sausage, this Würstmacher has gracefully risen to the challenge each month with a new culinary masterpiece. A new sausage arrives each month, with each Dog Haus location receiving approximately 200 links. Fans are encouraged to buy them early and often, as they sell out quickly.
For every Absolute Würst Sausage Series item sold, Dog Haus donates $1 to No Kid Hungry, making eating them even better. The national charity works to end childhood hunger by ensuring that kids get the food they need.

No Kid Hungry is a nonprofit organization established in 1984 with the primary mission of eradicating child hunger across America. One in six kids in the U.S. will face hunger each year, so No Kid Hungry is working to end childhood hunger through effective programs that provide kids with the food they need when they need it. The organization works with local school districts to provide students meals during the school year and summer, funds grants for food banks and community groups, and supports advocacy at the national, state and local levels to bring awareness to the issue and cut through the red tape to aid those in need. No Kid Hungry is a campaign of Share Our Strength, an organization working to end hunger and poverty.
