Fast-Casual Concept, Tulsi Indian Eatery, Kicks Off Franchise Sales Initiative

The fast-casual Indian franchise is welcoming new franchisees to apply for its franchise, accepting applications nationwide.

Tulsi Indian Eatery (TulsiEatery.com) is making waves this spring with the launch of its highly anticipated franchise model. The one-of-a-kind vegetarian and plant-based concept is 20 years in the making, with the first location launched in the middle of the pandemic on August 27, 2020, and opening several more locations since then. The company is now expanding through its franchise model.

Tulsi presents a one-of-a-kind restaurant with regional menus representing all four major regions of India, according to Tulsi’s CEO Chirag Shah. The food is curated by expert regional chefs who are from each region that is represented on Tulsi’s menus. The head chef for North Indian cuisine, Mr. Harpreet “Saabi” Singh, also serves as Corporate Executive Chef who oversees all food preparations along with the Director of Operations, Antonio Kanickaraj, who is also a classically trained chef. Tulsi currently operates five kitchens (four retail restaurants and a catering/commissary kitchen) in the City of Los Angeles, including one express curry bowl concept called Tulsi Bistro.

Tulsi can currently be found in three locations in Southern California — Northridge, Downtown LA, and Westwood Village. The brand has been featured across several news outlets, including Yelp, Thrillist, CBS News, PureWow, Eater, and several others.

“Our team has worked tirelessly to formulate an approachable, simple franchise model for entrepreneurs. The result is on-point, putting the essence of Tulsi and everything that our brand is about straight into the hands of our franchisees,” stated Shah.

Tulsi is represented by a strong executive team which consists of a lawyer, a marketing expert, and an operations director/expert who is also a chef. Using this experience as a springboard, the brand created not only a rich culinary experience for every Tulsi patron, from dine-in to delivery to catering, but structured a franchise system that is easily translated across markets. At the store level, each Tulsi restaurant is managed by a professional restaurant manager and maintained with the highest hygienic standards. Tulsi has received many awards and recognitions for its unparalleled food quality and service, including being named Yelp’s Most Incredible Indian Restaurant and one of 38 Most Essential Restaurants in Los Angeles by Eater LA; the Eater LA recognition is across all categories from over 35,000 restaurants operating in Los Angeles.

There is no culinary background required for Tulsi franchise partners. Instead, entrepreneurs can expect to find comprehensive training and ongoing support within the Tulsi brand. Its curated menu, brand power, and well-established systems are all part of every franchise agreement. All food is delivered from a centralized commissary, further boosting the simplicity of the operation.

SoCal-based fast-casual franchise, Tulsi Indian Eatery, was founded on the idea that fresh, healthy food can be fast and delicious. The multi-regional brand features authentic Indian ingredients in every dish, culminating into a vibrant, flavorful menu not found anywhere else.
