Firehouse Subs Brings the Heat to Southern Idaho with Plans for 12 Restaurants

Nationwide restaurant chain, Firehouse Subs, plans to open 12 restaurants throughout Southern Idaho, targeting the areas of Boise, Twin Falls and Idaho Falls. Renowned for hearty, oversized portions and steaming hot subs, Firehouse Subs is a 600-unit fast casual restaurant chain founded in Jacksonville, Fla., by former firefighting brothers Chris Sorensen and Robin Sorensen. The region’s first Firehouse Subs restaurant will open in Boise during spring 2013, and plans for a seven-year total market build-out are currently underway.

Setting each town ablaze with new restaurants is veteran Area Representative Randy Judd. More than 25 years of restaurant experience arm Judd with the skill set needed to successfully expand the Firehouse Subs brand into Idaho. Three years ago, Judd became the area representative for Utah were he has successfully opened four restaurants and has another three under development. As area representative for Idaho, Judd intends to turn the Gem State into a thriving Firehouse Subs franchise territory.
