The New Year has officially arrived, and to jump start those resolutions, award-winning Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch restaurant First Watch today announced new seasonal menu items featuring superfoods – ingredients rich in nutrients and boasting various health benefits.

“Our winter menu is a reflection of our fresh approach to Breakfast, Brunch and Lunch and commitment to culinary innovation,” said Chris Tomasso, chief marketing officer for First Watch. “With the New Year upon us, we wanted to offer our guests delicious, healthy options that will help jump start their resolutions. And, given the success of our fall seasonal menu last year, guests can expect to see other special seasonal menus launched throughout the year.”

In addition to all the traditional First Watch favorites, guests will find the following seasonal menu items at their local restaurant for a limited time starting Monday, Jan. 21:

First Watch Broccoli and Turkey Frittata

Broccoli and Turkey Frittata

An open-faced omelet with house-roasted broccoli, turkey and cheddar and parmesan cheeses served with dressed greens and multigrain toast. $7.99

Quinoa Power Bowl

These two new items are filled with superfoods rich in protein, fiber, iron, de-toxins and necessary vitamins to sustain a healthy lifestyle. Two of the ingredients, quinoa and kale, have become more popular in recent years. Quinoa’s notoriety will only grow in 2013, as the United Nations has named this year the International Year of Quinoa.

First Watch serves its entire menu seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The restaurant also offers guests complimentary newspapers and free Wi-Fi Internet access.
