Hickory Tavern Continues North Carolina Expansion with Cary Opening on April 27Hickory Tavern, the casually social neighborhood restaurant acclaimed for its sports passion, is opening its second Triangle location at 4 pm on Wednesday, April 27, in the new Parkside Town Commons center, 1156 Parkside Main Street, in Cary. The Cary restaurant expands the brand’s presence in North Carolina with 15 locations, including one in Carrboro.

“With the success of our Carrboro location, we wanted to bring another Hickory Tavern to the Triangle area.  After we did our homework we were convinced that Cary is an ideal fit for us,” said Hickory Tavern CMO Thom Perez. “We’ve spent years building Hickory Tavern’s reputation one guest at a time.  Through all of that effort, we’ve earned, and we place a tremendous value on our status as the ‘neighborhood go-to’ for dining and socializing.  We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to do it again in one of the most exciting new areas in one of the most welcoming towns in all of North Carolina.”

Since opening its first restaurant in Hickory almost 20 years ago, Hickory Tavern has become the neighborhood restaurant destination for the entire family. Perhaps best known for being named one of ESPN’s Best Sports Bar in North America, Hickory Tavern’s unique brand of polished casual features a lively bar atmosphere, upscale menu and approximately 70 TVs throughout the restaurant, bar and patio.

While known for its sports passion, Hickory Tavern is very different from a traditional sports bar.  Punctuating those differences are its attentive service, “guest first” attitude and extensive and diverse menu. In addition to wings, burgers and signature sandwiches, guests will find Seared Ahi Tuna, Oysters, Lobster Roll, Shrimp & Grits, Crab Legs, Steamed Shrimp and three steak options on the menu. Hickory Tavern is also noted for its kids’ menu with 10 entrées and 10 sides options.  And for the salad lovers out there, Hickory Tavern has become famous for it’s ”Build Your Own” Salad that each guest customizes by choosing the type of leaf base, vegetables, fruit, cheese, crunches and proteins.

The 6,300 square-foot restaurant features separate dining and bar areas as well as a large patio with both dining and socializing areas.  Hickory Tavern offers a large and diverse selection of beers and will carry an impressive portfolio of local craft beers at all times.

Hickory Tavern Cary will be open from 11:00 am to midnight Sunday through Wednesday and from 11 am – 2 am Thursday through Saturday. For more information, call 919-466-7802 or visit www.TheHickoryTavern.com or like https://www.facebook.com/HT.CaryNC/.
