Launching 3rd November 2014
Nestled behind Eaton Square, across from the historic Goring Hotel in Belgravia, welcomes the birth of London’s newest and most anticipated Japanese restaurant and bar.
Kouzu offers a new experience, Japanese dining as an art form. With Chef Kyoichi Kai of Zuma and Kyubi of The Arts Club, he heads up a finely selected all-Japanese kitchen staff which feature some of London’s most talented and celebrated Japanese chefs. The authentic appeal is preserved from the kitchen operations to the customer service as Yasuhiro Komatsu of Chisou takes the helm as General Manager.
With over 30 years of experience as head chef of some of the world’s top restaurants, Kyoichi Kai is regarded as one of London’s most prominent Japanese chefs. He introduces a new experience of Japanese dining which grants artistry and meticulous detail. For the reason that Kouzu means composition, there is a high focus on the contemporary ensemble and traditional formation of each dish that delivers an exquisite flavour and experience.
The building itself is a Grade-II listed period mansion with a palatial entrance, a floating mezzanine upstairs where the floating sushi bar is located and a cocktail bar on the ground floor that will serve up a thrill of drinks designed by a Japanese mixologist. There is also an elegantly designed chef’s table hidden behind the kitchen for a more intimate and elusive dining with its own private entrance.
With a sophisticated interior reminiscent of a Tom Ford black, white and grey sleek penthouse and with a bespoke Japanese team, Kouzu awaits to give you an enjoyable and complete experience of Japanese dining and more.
