Brand New Restaurant Concept is an Offshoot of Johnny Rockets
Johnny Rockets restaurant chain announces the grand opening of its first-ever fast casual concept called Johnny’s Burger Factory. The new concept was created, in part, to appeal to a new generation of customers – millennials – who are time-starved and demand faster service without sacrificing high quality, great tasting food. Johnny’s Burger Factory at Walden Galleria will open on Saturday, September 26 at 10 a.m. for its official grand opening. The new restaurant will donate 20% of the proceeds generated from sales of its grand opening day to benefit The Salvation Army of Greater Buffalo and its programs dedicated to feeding hungry families throughout Western New York.

Modern Design Plus New Technology Equals a Millennial-Friendly Environment
Johnny’s Burger Factory has an industrial look with colors and materials that include reclaimed wood siding and corrugated metal siding on the walls, with a bamboo-faced dining counter with a darker sleek counter top. Edison pendant lights surround the dining counter. New technology, like a video wall and digital menu board – designed to resemble a hand written chalk board – engages guests. A touch screen kiosk will allow to them to place their orders and customize their meals for a hands-on experience. Johnny’s Burger Factory team members will sport a casual look wearing blue jeans, t-shirts and butcher-style aprons.

Opportunity for Experimentation and Expansion
Walker continued, “The creation of Johnny’s Burger Factory took a great deal of time, passion and experimentation to create a concept that is flexible enough in its design to allow multiple opportunities for new tests and trials. We’ve already seen a great deal of excitement around the new restaurant from current and prospective franchise partners. This concept design opens up development opportunities in a variety of venues globally. And as a result, we hope to expand at a faster pace and plan on adding new kitchen technology where we will bake our own buns and make ice cream from scratch as the brand evolves.”
Build a Great Menu and the Guests Will Come
The menu at Johnny’s Burger Factory is easy to navigate and has something for everyone. Burgers, of course, get top billing along with a full chicken menu and a veggie burger option too. Joel Bulger, Chief Marketing Officer for Johnny Rockets expressed his excitement for the new menu at Johnny’s Burger Factory, “Our core menu is all about using fresh, never frozen 100% domestic beef burgers and fresh hand-breaded chicken tenders. We’ve created four signature burgers as well as an option for our guests to build and customize their own personal Factory Burger using beef, hand-breaded chicken tenders or veggie patty. They are given a choice of cheeses and unlimited toppings. And to truly make it their own, we have a self-serve sauce bar for their sandwiches or to dip their chicken tenders.”

Four Signature Burgers –Single or Double – Fresh, Never Frozen, 100% Beef
Factory Burger is topped with thick-cut Applewood smoked bacon, Wisconsin cheddar cheese, spring mix fresh tomato, onion and the Factory’s special sauce on an artisan bun.
Big Bacon BBQ Burger has thick-cut Applewood smoked bacon, hand-breaded in the restaurant, sweet farm fresh onion rings, Wisconsin cheddar cheese and the Factory’s special BBQ sauce on an artisan bun.
Sriracha Pub Cheese Burger has an all American beef patty with spring mix, tomato, dill pickle chips, Sriracha pub cheese, mayo topped with two Applewood smoked bacon strips on an artisan bun.
Spicy Jack Guac Burger made with crispy Applewood smoked bacon and pepper jack cheese melted on a grilled fresh beef patty and topped with fresh, hand-made guacamole, spicy chipotle ranch, fresh tomato and spring mix served on a wheat bun.
Hand-Breaded in the Restaurant or Grilled – Farm-Fresh Chicken Tenders
Hand Breaded Chicken Tenders with a choice of BBQ, Chipotle ranch or any of the flavorful dipping sauces at the self-serve sauce bar.
Chicken Salad made with hand-breaded or grilled chicken tenders served over a spring mix with chopped Applewood smoked bacon, fresh, diced tomatoes and shredded Wisconsin cheddar cheese.
Factory Chicken Sandwich made with a choice of hand-breaded or grilled chicken tenders with crispy Applewood smoked bacon and melted pepper jack cheese topped with fresh, hand-made guacamole, spicy chipotle ranch, fresh tomato, spring mix served on a wheat bun.
Also on the menu is the option for guests to create their own Factory Burger made with a beef burger, hand-breaded or grilled chicken tenders or a veggie burger. There is a complimentary self-serve sauce bar to choose from a variety of flavored sauces, like BBQ, Buffalo sauce, Chipotle ranch, Sriracha or honey mustard. Johnny’s Burger Factory will serve hand-breaded, sweet, farm-fresh onion rings and fries made with premium U.S. potatoes. The sides can be topped with bacon, cheese or chili or all three toppings.
Premium ice cream hand-spun shakes will be offered in a variety of flavors including chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, Oreo and the signature Factory salted caramel shake. For those who are looking for a different ice cream dessert, there is a Guinness Float.
Beverages include local craft beer as well as Pabst Blue Ribbon, Budweiser, Bud Light and Guinness by the bottle, a choice of wines and a Coke Freestyle machine for guests to once again use their creativity to customize their soft drinks.
