Customizable Burger Franchise Expands its Presence with Franklin Township Opening
MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, the fast-casual “better burger” franchise, is continuing its New Jersey expansion with the opening of its fourth restaurant in the state in Franklin Township at 441 Elizabeth Ave. The restaurant, opening on September 19, 2016 is the first for father and son franchisees, John and Dan Bodner.
The Bodner family has been in the franchising industry for several decades beginning with John’s father-in-law, Michael Belsante, who opened a Dunkin’ Donuts back in 1968. Years later, in 1978, John opened the first of his two Dunkin’ Donuts locations. The father and son duo recently sold their Dunkin’ Donuts locations and decided to invest in MOOYAH after falling in love with the company’s customer-oriented mindset and commitment to quality.
“We wanted to join a company that focused on a fun, family-friendly atmosphere and kept a high standard for food by always using fresh ingredients,” said Dan. “Once we tried MOOYAH, we realized that it was the brand we had been searching for to continue our business ownership together.”
The Franklin Township location joins the New Jersey MOOYAH family, with other locations in Garwood, Old Tappan and Skillman.
“The MOOYAH brand continues to flourish nationwide by attracting veteran franchisees like John and Dan,” said Michael Mabry, chief operating officer at MOOYAH. “We’re happy to continue our expansion into New Jersey and know that Franklin Township will love our fresh food and seriously fun atmosphere.”
At MOOYAH, quality food goes hand in hand with customization. Guests get the opportunity to choose from a variety of bun options, from baked- in-house potato or multigrain wheat buns to handcrafted lettuce buns, to accompany a never-frozen 100 percent American beef patty, all-natural Jennie-O turkey patty or mouthwatering black bean veggie patty. Each gourmet burger can be customized with five different cheese options, applewood smoked bacon and sliced avocado, along with nine free veggie toppings and 11 free sauces.
MOOYAH French fries come together in a six-step process that takes a total of 24 hours to completely prepare. A delightful combination of constant attention and a little magic help transform U.S. #1 Idaho potatoes into perfect, crisp-on-the-outside and fluffy-on-the-inside fries. Guests also have the choice of savory sweet potato fries. MOOYAH offers real ice cream shakes in 10 delicious flavors ranging from vanilla to Hershey’s chocolate, REESE’S ™, strawberry banana and more.
