National Cheese Curd Day Highlights Midwestern Delicacy

Culver’s Gives Guests Chance to Win Free Curds for a Year

National Cheese Curd Day Highlights Midwestern DelicacyCheese lovers across the country have proven their love for curds is out of this world. In 2015 alone, they purchased 17.7 million orders of Culver’s Wisconsin Cheese Curds; laid end to end, they would stretch from Earth to the moon three times!

October 15, officially National Cheese Curd Day, brings about the perfect opportunity to proclaim your love for the Dairyland delicacy. Culver’s established the national holiday in 2015 as a way to celebrate its signature side order, which has been a staple of the restaurant’s menu since 1997.

Culver’s Wisconsin Cheese Curds are made using yellow and white cheddar cheese exclusively from La Grander Hillside Dairy in Stanley, Wisconsin. The fresh, un-aged curds are breaded in a signature blend of herbs and spices and are fried to a buttery, golden brown crunch. They don’t hit the fryer until they are ordered, so guests are guaranteed a warm and gooey delight.

“While our Wisconsin Cheese Curds are delicious any day, National Cheese Curd Day is the perfect excuse to embrace your inner `Curd Nerd,” said Emily Patterson, director of marketing for Culver’s. “If you haven’t tried our cheese curds yet, today is the day to do so!”

To highlight the holiday, Culver’s has launched the “Curd Nerd Sweepstakes.” For each purchase of Wisconsin Cheese Curds from Oct. 3 to Oct. 30, 2016, guests will receive a ticket with a code that can be entered online for the chance to win Culver’s coupons and T-shirts. They’ll also have the chance to win the grand prize of $1,000 in Culver’s Gift Cards plus free Wisconsin Cheese Curds for a year! Guests can share their love for cheese curds by posting a photo to Instagram with #CurdNerdSweepstakes for even more opportunities to win.
