On The Border Expands Oklahoma City Presence with 5th Location and 130 New JobsOn The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina – home of the Original Meltdown Margarita and sizzling, Mesquite-grilled fajitas – will bring its signature brand of craveable Mexican food and drinks – and approximately 130 new jobs – to the Oklahoma City area when it opens its new restaurant in Midwest City on Monday, February 22.

“I was born in Norman and went to the University of Oklahoma so I couldn’t be more excited about opening OTB’s newest location in the Metroplex. I’ve worked for OTB for more than 16 years. I love the brand and love this community,” said Lynn Morris, general manager of On The Border. “I have no doubt that the people of Midwest City and surrounding areas like Tinker Air Force Base and Rose State College are going to love it.”

Located at 433 Planet Ct, at the NW corner of SE 29th and I40 on Tinker Diagonal (1 block west of the Tinker Main Gate), the 6,000-plus square foot restaurant features nearly 3,500 square feet of dining and bar space that can seat up to 207 guests, and more than 1,000 square feet of patio space. The Midwest City restaurant represents a sleek, streamlined new prototype for the OTB brand featuring an open kitchen with a mesquite wood-burning grill, bright colors, rustic furnishings and finishes. The restaurant will also offer a state-of-the-art, spacious cantina with a broad selection of tequilas, draft beers, and multiple flat screens for sports viewing.
