Pie Five Pizza Arrives (Finally!) in Alabama this FridayThe wait is almost over!

Pizza lovers in Alabama are about to get their first taste of individual pizza perfection, when the nation’s leading fast-casual pizza concept arrives in Hoover this Friday.

Pie Five Pizza Co., the trend-setting pizza eatery renowned for its handcrafted, personalized pizzas and high-quality ingredients, will debut its first Alabama restaurant at 4741 Chace Landing Circle, Suite 114, in Hoover, just one mile south of the Galleria, on Friday, Feb. 20.

Pie Five’s made-to-order pies offer endless variety all for one great price. Any way you top them, the “five” in Pie Five means it all happens in five minutes or less!

“We’ve been working toward this day for months now, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with how the excitement has built in and around Hoover for Pie Five’s debut,” said Fred Gustin, co-owner with Kurt Guttshall of local franchisee Quality Restaurant Concepts, LLC. “We’re getting ready to introduce pizza lovers to a new and better way of enjoying their favorite meal, with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients, virtually unlimited variety and the speed of service that today’s on-the-go consumer is demanding. I think they’re going to be blown away.”

The official grand opening for the new restaurant will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, with a live remote broadcast by WQEN 103.7 the Q from 6 – 8 p.m., plenty of food and merchandise giveaways and the opportunity to win free Pie Five for a year! That’s right; five lucky people will win free pizza for a year! Simply go to PieFivePizza.com and join the Circle of Crust and you could be a winner.

In addition, the new restaurant will donate half of its sales from pre-opening training events held this week to Big Oak Ranch Boys & Girls Homes, a Christian home for children needing a chance to find a normal life, to find God’s love and to find that we are what we have the strength to become.

“One of the privileges we have as business owners is to give back to our local community, and that’s exactly what we’re doing through Big Oak Ranch,” said Guttshall. “It’s an absolutely wonderful place that serves wonderful kids, and we’re proud to do our part to help them do even more good for so many special children who just need a break.”

Pie Five Pizza Arrives (Finally!) in Alabama this FridayHere’s how the Pie Five experience works. As each guest steps to the counter, our Pie-artisans help them choose their favorite crust – artisan thin, classic pan, whole grain Neapolitan or gluten free thin. Then they choose from seven sauces, four cheeses, eight meats and 16 veggies; and, best of all, there’s no penalty for piling on…there’s more than a million combinations of handcrafted personal pizzas to choose from!

Pie Five bakes each perfect personal pizza in a specially designed oven. By the time the guest arrives at the register, their hot, bubbly, pizza perfection is ready. And whether they select from one of Pie Five’s specialty recipes or create their own, it’s all the same great price: A handcrafted, artisan pizza that would cost $13-15 in an upscale restaurant for under $7.

Pie Fivers can also add a fresh, hand-made salad, tossed right in front of them while their pizza rolls through the oven. Dessert offerings include Turtle brownies and chocolate chip pizza cookies, as well as seasonal pizzas and cakes, all baked fresh daily.

Pie Five Pizza has been named among Fast Casual’s 2014 Top 15 “Movers & Shakers,” a 2012 Hot Concepts winner by Nation’s Restaurant News and one of “10 Hot New Restaurant Chains from Established Brands” by Forbes.com.

The new Hoover restaurant marks the chain’s 37th location in 10 states (Alabama, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia) with more than 400 company-owned and announced franchise units under contract in 14 states and Washington, DC.

The Chace Landing restaurant will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. A complete menu and more information are available at piefivepizza.com.
