100 Percent of Sales from Daly City Pre-Opening Events Benefited the Local Organization

Pieology Donates More than $2,000 to Peninsula Humane Society & SPCAPieology Pizzeria, where pizza lovers go to create custom pizzas in endless flavor combinations, is proud to announce that their recently-opened Daly City location raised $2,119.20 for the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. To celebrate the Daly City grand opening and to kick off the company’s commitment to its local community, the restaurant pledged to donate 100 percent of sales generated from two pre-opening events, to the cause.

“We’d like to thank the Daly City community for a very warm welcome and for coming out to support the Peninsula Humane Society and the amazing work they do,” said Kevin Kawada, general manager of Pieology Daly City. “This partnership is the first of many as we are committed to becoming contributing members of our community while supporting organizations that enrich the lives of our guests.”

The Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA is a privately owned and independent, non-profit, open-door shelter that accepts all animals regardless of age, breed or size. Open since 2003, donations made have helped rehome 100 percent of the healthy dogs and cats in their care. They rehabilitate wildlife, spay and neuter animals at no-cost to low or fix-income residents, educate children, and investigate animal cruelty.

“Partnering with the Daly City Pieology was a fantastic experience as their staff was truly interested in the work we do and enthusiastic about communicating our partnership with guests,” said Lisa Van Buskirk, Vice President of Development and Planned Giving for the Peninsula Humane Society & SPCA. “Pieology generously donated over $2,000 that will go directly towards helping our shelter animals with medical and behavioral needs. I’m a fan of Pieology’s delicious custom pizza and am impressed with their dedication to local causes like ours.”
