Popular fast-casual fresh soup restaurant set for Feb. grand opening
Fresh soup lovers in Pittsburgh are in luck. The nation’s most popular fast-casual, fresh-soup concept – Zoup! – is opening in the newly renovated Fox Chapel Plaza next month!
“We’re thrilled to bring Zoup!’s award-winning recipes to the people of Pittsburgh,” said husband-and-wife franchisees Richard and Jackie Cagley. “Zoup!’s amazing company culture is what initially attracted us to the brand, along with the opportunity to create an inviting, community-based restaurant serving really, really good food.”
To help customers select from the daily soups, sampling is encouraged. And, for those looking to save time, a daily soup menu and online ordering are available. Customers receive an offer to “buy a bowl, get one free” when they join Zoup!’s special promotions email list at zoup.com.
“We created Zoup! after discovering that really good soup is hard to find,” said Eric Ersher, Zoup!’s founder and CEO. “Also, in talking to people, it became clear that there’s something special about soup and the way it elicits thoughts of family, well-being and comfort for many people. We strive to offer authentic, hand-crafted soups that are as good – and as ‘feel-good’ – as the homemade soups our mothers and grandmothers used to make.”
The Cagleys’ new restaurant, located at 1137 Freeport Road in Pittsburgh, is projected to open in mid-February. It will join the area’s first Zoup! location in Canonsburg, which opened in April 2014.
