Pizza Patrón Founder Opens New Standalone Concept in Original NeighborhoodPizza Patrón, widely known for its PIZZA POR PESOS program, announced the grand opening of its new high-profile standalone model. Located at 10121 Lake June Road in the Pleasant Grove community in Southeast Dallas, it will be the brand’s fifth location in the original neighborhood where it all began nearly 30 years ago.

The new 1200 sq. ft. standalone model is owned by company founder Antonio Swad and is part of the brand’s new freestanding retail strategy to raise its profile within the community and boost market share.

“We are very excited about this new restaurant model and the potential it represents for the brand,” said Antonio Swad, founder and president of Pizza Patrón. “This new store is strategically positioned directly between two of my other restaurants that are currently operating beyond capacity. My hope is that this location will provide some much-needed relief to the excessive traffic we are seeing at the other stores.”

The store is open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays. Customers can call their orders ahead by dialing 972-285-1300 and they can take advantage of the store’s convenient pick-up window.

A grand opening celebration will be held on site on Monday, September 14th between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. Customers and friends can enjoy music, pizza sampling and other fun activities.

“Our focus for the past few years has been on making our business model as healthy as it can be,” said Swad. “Sales, AUVs and unit economics are stronger today than they have ever been. Pizza Patrón is positioned perfectly for successful growth over the next few years.”

Since 1986, Pizza Patrón has been committed to making its promise of “Más Pizza. Menos Dinero.” a reality for every customer. From the beginning, the brand has been recognized for its ‘fresh-dough’ pizza, its low prices and its trademark “friendly, bicultural service.” In 2007, the company drew international media attention with its PIZZA POR PESOS program when it began accepting Mexican Pesos at all of its restaurants. In 2012, the company’s PIZZA POR FAVOR promotion that gave free pizzas to anyone who ordered in Spanish sparked international news coverage and lively debate throughout the U.S. Today, Pizza Patrón is the leading Mexican pizza brand in the U.S. and remains dedicated to bringing its unique experience to life with every pizza made, and in every community it serves.
