PizzaRev Grand Opening Benefits “I Have a Dream” Foundation of Boulder County and A Precious Child
PizzaRev, a growing build-your-own artisanal pizza restaurant, is celebrating the Grand Opening of its first Colorado store by hosting a “Pizzas for a Purpose” fundraising event at Twenty Ninth Street Mall (1650 28th St., Suite 1228, Boulder) from 11 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Aug. 13. Guests are invited to “pay-what-they-want” for a custom-built, personal-sized pizza, with a suggested $8 contribution to benefit giveSPORTS. PizzaRev – Boulder will give 100 percent of donations to giveSPORTS, which is a partnership between “I Have a Dream” Foundation of Boulder County and A Precious Child that provides new and gently-used sports equipment and fee scholarships to children.
“We are passionate supporters of organizations that positively impact our community, and we admire the work ‘I Have a Dream’ Foundation and A Precious Child have done to help children have brighter futures,” said PizzaRev – Boulder Franchise Owner, Randy Chilton. “We look forward to supporting the giveSPORTS program and introducing the Boulder community to the PizzaRev-olution!”
“The partnership between A Precious Child and the ‘I Have A Dream Foundation’ of Boulder County has helped many underprivileged youth participate in sports in Boulder over the years through the giveSPORTS program,” said A Precious Child CEO and Founder, Carina Martin. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with PizzaRev on this event. It will enable us to grow our impact and help local youth build their self-confidence, skills and teamwork through sports.”
PizzaRev is an award-winning pizza concept that features a distinctive “Craft Your Own” pizza assembly process and a Roman-style thin and crispy pizza. It starts with the crust selection, either original or gluten-free, each one pressed into a thin canvas from a homemade dough ball. Guests then choose from four signature sauces, including a savory organic red sauce, a creamy white alfredo, a spicy-sweet BBQ, or olive oil. Finally, each personally-sized masterpiece is completed with favorite selections from an array of all-natural cheeses and 30+ fresh artisanal ingredients, ranging from traditional favorites like pepperoni and ground beef to premium selections including sweet fennel sausage and fresh-picked basil and arugula. Each pizza, no matter how many ingredients are selected, costs $8.25.
Most unique to PizzaRev, and what enables the restaurant’s unprecedented speed of service, is the custom-built, 900-degree stone hearth oven. Guests watch the dancing flames in the background as their pizzas are fired to a perfect, Roman-style crispiness in less than three minutes. With literally hundreds of millions of combinations to create, PizzaRev keeps guests coming back eager to try the latest creation they crave.
To further celebrate the opening of the new Boulder restaurant, PizzaRev is hosting a free-to-enter sweepstakes where five lucky guests will win Free Pizza for a Year. Guests can fill out an entry form at www.pizzarev.com/Boulderfreepizza or at the Boulder restaurant; all entries must be in by Oct. 1, 2015.

Since 1990, the award-winning “I Have a Dream” Foundation of Boulder County has helped hundreds of low-income children graduate high school and achieve their education and career goals by providing long-term personal and academic support, tutoring, mentoring, and four-year tuition-assistance scholarship to each graduating student. The program follows the national model established in New York by 1981 by founder Eugene Lang. The organization opens learning centers in low-income housing sites or schools, and works with groups of 50 to 80 elementary school students and their families through high school graduation and into post-high school education. “I Have a Dream” Boulder County has served 780 children, with services reaching their families to impact more than 3,000 individuals and has doubled expected graduation rates for those in its program; it has awarded more than $2 million in scholarships to date.
