Atlanta, GA-based SCHLOTZSKY’S DELI (founded 1971) has increased by 3 units, from 350 to 353 (1% growth) and entered into NJ.  This fast casual sandwich concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Units serve beer and wine and average seating is for around 30.  Catering and online ordering options are available.  All stores are franchised and trade in AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OK, OR, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI and WV.  Schlotzsky’s is a subsidiary of Focus Brands.

Madison, GA-based AMICI ITALIAN CAFE (founded 1993) has increased by 1 unit, from 6 to 7 (17% growth).  The restaurants are family/casual, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $8-$20+, serving beer and wine.  Seating is for about 70.  Catering is available.  About half the units are franchised.  All are located in GA.

THUNDERCLOUD SUBS based in Austin, TX (founded 1975) has increased by 10 units, from 22 to 32 (45% growth).  These are quick serve sandwich shops with seating for around 50.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$12+.  Catering is available.  All locations are in TX.  We reported on this concept on 2/12/13 (4% growth).
