New York, NY-based CHEF DRIVEN RESTAURANT GROUP has added a new concept called Torino Italian (1 unit).  Other company concepts include 404 NYC (1), 5 Napkin Burger (5), Barbounia (1), Café D’alsace (1), Deluxe (1), French Roast (2), L’ Express (1), Le Monde (1), Marseille (1), Nice Matin (1), Nizza (1), Pigalle (1) and The Pavillion (1).  Overall company increase was from 18 to 19 (6% growth).  The restaurants are mostly upscale French concepts, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar service and seating for about 150.  Online ordering, delivery and private party services are available.  Trading areas are FL, MA and NY.

Portland, OR-based ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE (founded 1953) has increased by 8 units, from 118 to 126 (7% growth).  This family/casual concept serves American cuisine and is open for breakfast and lunch.  Per person check average is $4-$12+, with seating for about 150.  Private party facilities are available.  Locations are franchised and trade in AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, SD, TX, UT, VA, WA and WI.

Oregon-based MO’S RESTAURANTS (founded 1946) has increased by 1 unit, from 6 to 7 (17% growth).  This family/casual seafood concept is open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20+ per person check average.  Beer and wine are served and average seating is for about 70.  Catering is available.  All the restaurants are in OR.

Norwalk, CT-based BARTECA RESTAURANT GROUP (founded 1995) has increased by 1 unit for the Barcelona concept, from 9 to 10 (11% concept growth) and entered into DC.  The company also increased by 2 units for the Bartaco concept, from 4 to 6 (50% concept growth).  Overall company increase was from 13 to 16 (23% growth).  Barcelona is an upscale Spanish concept, open for lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  Bartaco is a family/casual Mexican concept, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $8-$20+.  Average seating at both concepts is 150, with beer and wine service.  Banquet and catering are available.  Trading areas are CT, DC, GA, MA and NY.

Colorado-based MODMARKET (founded 2009) has increased by 3 units, from 9 to 12 (33% growth) and entered into TX.  This fast casual American food concept is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person price range.  Locations serve beer and wine and seat around 80.  Catering and online ordering services are available.  The restaurants trade in CO and TX.

Surrey, BC-based WOK BOX (founded 2004) has increased by 1 unit, from 52 to 53 (2% growth) and entered into FL.  This fast casual Asian concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Units seat about 60 and offer catering and delivery services.  Locations are franchised and trade in AB, AZ, BC, MB, NB, NL, NS, ON, SK and TX.  We last featured this concept on 5/13/14 (4% growth).

Dallas, TX-based LA MADELEINE BAKERY CAFE (founded 1983) has increased by 4 units, from 69 to 73 (6% growth).  This fast casual bakery/cafe concept is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person check average.  Beer and wine are served and seating is for about 125.  Catering, private party and online ordering services are offered.  The restaurants are franchised and trade in GA, LA, MD, OK, TX and VA.  La Madeleine is a subsidiary of LeDuff America Inc.  We last wrote about this concept on 7/15/14 (17% growth).
