Florida-based SHINJU JAPANESE BUFFET has increased by 1 unit, from 5 to 6, with the addition of a new concept called Tokyo Bay Buffet (20% company growth).  The company also operates 5 Shinju Japanese Buffet restaurants.  These Japanese buffets are open for lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar service and average seating for about 150.  Banquet facilities are available.  All the restaurants trade in FL.

Georgia-based LITTLE ITALY has increased by 1 unit for the Little Italy concept, from 3 to 4 (33% concept growth).  The company also operates the 1-unit Peppino’s concept.  Overall company increase was from 4 to 5 (25% company growth).  These quick serve pizzerias are open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Average unit seats about 60 and serves beer and wine.  Catering and delivery services are available.  All locations are in GA.

New York, NY-based QUALITY BRANDED (founded 2007) has increased by 1 unit for the Quality Meats concept, from 1 to 2 (100% concept growth) and added a new concept called Quality Eats (1 unit).  The company has now entered into the state of FL.  Other company concepts include Maloney & Porcelli (1), Park Avenue (1), Quality Italian (1), Riff Raff’s (1) and Smith & Wollensky (1).  The restaurants are upscale steakhouse concepts, open for lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  Locations have full bar service and seating for about 300.  Banquet facilities are available.  Trading areas are FL and NY.

Columbia, MD-based THE GREENE TURTLE SPORTS BAR & GRILLE (founded 1976) has increased by 7 units, from 38 to 45 (18% growth) and entered into NJ and WV.  These family/casual restaurants serve American cuisine, open for lunch and dinner. Per person check average is $8-$20+, with seating for around 250. Catering and private party services are available.  Locations are franchised and trade in DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, VA and WV.

Emeryville, CA-based JAMBA JUICE (NASDAQ:JMBA; founded 1990) has increased by 31 units, from 854 to 885 (4% growth).  This fast casual juice/smoothie concept is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner hours, with a $4-$12+ per person price range.  Units have limited seating and offer catering service.  The restaurants are franchised and trade in AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MN, MO, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, ON, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI, and the Bahamas.

The company also operates Meg O’Malley’s (1).  Overall company increase was from 6 to 8 (33% company growth).  These family/casual bar and grill concepts are open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20+ per person check avearge.  Locations serve beer and wine and seat around 50.  All are located in FL.
