Washington-based BOB’S BURGERS & BREW (founded 1982) has increased by 1 unit, from 11 to 12 (9% growth).  This family/casual burger concept is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with full bar service.  Per person check average is $8-$20+, with seating for about 150.  Catering and private party services are available.  All locations are in WA.

Memphis, TN-based DIXIE QUEEN (founded 1949) has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  This quick serve restaurant serves American food, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Locations have limited seating.  Per person price range is $4-$10+.  All locations are in TN.

Emerging and Re-emerging Concepts
Concepts with 20 units or less who grew by at least 2 units.

Kansas City, MO-based 54TH STREET GRILL & BAR (founded 1990) has increased by 2 units, from 20 to 22 (10% growth).  The family/casual restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20+ per person check average.  Locations have seating for around 200.  Trading areas are IL, KS, MO, and TX.

RODIZIO GRILL based in Sandy, UT (founded 1995) has increased by 2 units, from 14 to 16 (14% growth).  These are upscale Brazilian restaurants with full bar and seating for around 200.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $15-$50+.  Banquets are offered.  Locations are in CO, CT, FL, MA, MN, NJ, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT and WI.

Nashville, TN-based BRICKTOPS (founded 2005) has increased by 1 unit, from 7 to 8 (14% growth).  The restaurants are upscale, serving American cuisine.  Per person check average is $15-$50+, with full bar service and seating for about 200.  Locations are in FL, GA, MO, NC, and TN.  We last wrote about this concept on 6/4/13 (17% growth).

Largo, FL-based KER’S WINGHOUSE (founded 1994) has increased by 1 unit, from 23 to 24 (4% growth).  The restaurants are family/casual, specializing in chicken wings.  Locations have full bar and seating for about 300.  Per person check average is $6-$15+.  Catering and private party services are offered.  All locations are in FL.  Franchise opportunities are now available.

YOUR PIE based in Athens, GA (founded 2008) has increased by 1 unit, from 18 to 19 (6% growth).  These are fast casual pizza restaurants with seating for around 60.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner with a per person check average of around $6-$15+.  Catering, delivery and franchising are available.  There are plans to reach 100 units by 2015.  Current locations are in FL, GA, SC and TN.  We last reported on this concept on 4/9/13 (50% growth).

ROOSTERS based in Dublin, OH (founded 1988) has increased by 1 unit, from 31 to 32 (3% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with full bar and seating for around 150.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $6-$15+.  Franchising is offered.  Locations are in IN, KY, OH and WV.  This company was last featured in our 11/26/13 newsletter when they had 3% growth.
