Atlanta, GA-based HUDDLE HOUSE (founded 1964) has increased by 1 unit, from 377 to 378 (1% growth) and entered into NE.  The restaurants are family/casual, serving American cuisine.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12+ per person check average.  Units have seating for about 60.  Private party services are available.  The restaurants are franchised and trade in AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, OH, OK, PA, SC, TN, TX, VA and WV.

Northbrook, IL-based LOU MALNATI’S PIZZA (founded 1971) has increased by 7 units, from 36 to 43 (19% growth).  These family/casual Italian and pizza restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person check average.  Most locations have full bar and seating for around 200.  Some are take-out/delivery only service.  Catering, delivery, online ordering and private party facilities are available.  All the restaurants are in IL.

Salt Lake City, UT-based CHUCK-A-RAMA (founded 1998) has increased by 1 unit, from 11 to 12 (9% growth).  This buffet concept serves American cuisine, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person price range is $6-$15+ and average seating is for about 300.  The restaurants are located in ID and UT.

Louisiana-based EL PASO MEXICAN GRILL has increased by 3 units, from 8 to 11 (38% growth).  This family/casual Mexican concept is open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 150.  All locations are in LA.

Austin, TX-based CHUY’S (NASDAQ:CHUY; founded 1982) has increased by 13 units, from 51 to 64 (25% growth).  The restaurants are family/casual, open for lunch and dinner, with an $8-$20+ per person check average.  Full bar is served and seating is for about 200.  Catering and delivery are available.  Trading areas are AL, AR, FL, GA, IN, KY, MO, NC, OH, OK, SC, TN, TX and VA.  We last wrote about this concept on 4/16/14 (11% growth).

Massachusetts-based COMELLA’S HOMEMADE ITALIAN FOOD (founded 1988) has increased by 1 unit, from 11 to 12 (9% growth).  The restaurants are family/casual, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $8-$20+.  Average seating is for about 50.  Catering and delivery services are available.  All the locations are in MA.  We last wrote about this concept on 5/27/14 (10% growth).
