Growing Concepts
Concepts that have grown by at least 5% (if less than 50 units).

Mississippi-based LOST PIZZA CO has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  These quick serve pizzerias are open for dinner hours, with a $6-$12 per person price range.  Locations serve beer and have seating for around 50.  All locations are in MS.

Eden Prairie, MN-based REDSTONE AMERICAN GRILL (founded 1999) has increased by 1 unit, from 5 to 6 (20% growth).  This upscale concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $15-$50+ per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar service and seating for about 200.  Trading areas are IL, MN, NJ, and PA.

Scarborough, ON-based WIMPY’S DINER (founded 1961) has increased by 1 unit, from 43 to 44 (2% growth).  These family/casual restaurants serve American food, open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Per person check average is $6-$12.  The restaurants have seating for about 70, with full bar service at select locations.  All the restaurants are franchised and trade in ON.

GRAZIANO’S PIZZA RESTAURANT of Upland, CA (founded 1969) has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with seating for around 250.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Beer and wine are served.  Catering and delivery services are available.  Locations are in CA and NV.

BARRO’S PIZZA of Carefree, AZ has increased by 1 unit, from 31 to 32 (3% growth).  These are quick serve pizza restaurants with seating for around 50.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$10.  Take-out and delivery are offered.  All locations are in AZ.

#1 BROTHERS PIZZA based in Phoenix, AZ has increased by 1 unit, from 2 to 3 (50% growth).  These are quick serve pizza restaurants with seating for around 150.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$10.  Catering services are offered.  All locations are in AZ.

SMORGAS CHEF based in New York, NY (founded 2003) has increased by 1 unit for Crepes Du Nord, from 1 to 2 (50% concept growth).  The Smorgas Chef concept has 3 units.  Overall company increase is from 4 to 5 (25% company growth).  These are upscale restaurants with seating for around 200.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $15-$50+.  All locations are in NY.

SNEAKY PETE’S HOT DOGS based in Birmingham, AL (founded 1966) has increased by 2 units, from 31 to 33 (6% growth).  These are quick serve sandwich restaurants serving lunch and dinner.  Check average is around $2-$6 per person.  Seating is for around 50.  Locations are more than 90% franchised and are in AL.

San Diego, CA-based VILLA CAPRI RESTAURANT GROUP (founded 1993) has increased by 1 unit for the Come On In Café concept, from 6 to 7 (17% concept growth), 2 to 3 for the Villa Capri concept (50% concept growth), and added a new concept called Capri Café.  The company also operates the 1-unit Capri Blue.  Overall company increase was from 9 to 12 (33% growth).  These are upscale Italian restaurant concepts, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner hours.  Per person check average is $15-$50+, serving beer and wine.  Seating is for about 100 and catering and banquet services are available.  The Come On In Café also offers online ordering and delivery.  All locations are in CA.

Dallas, TX-based DAVE & BUSTER’S (founded 1982) has increased by 2 units, from 59 to 61 (3% growth) and entered into ID.  These are family/casual restaurant and arcade venues, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person price range is $10-$30.  Locations have a full bar and seat around 450.  Private party services are available.  Trading areas are AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, HI, ID, IL, IN, KS, MA, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, NE, NY, OH, OK, ON, PA, RI, TN, TX, VA, and WI.  We last wrote about this concept on 1/17/12 (4% growth).

Henderson, NV-based YOGURTINI (founded 2008) has increased by 10 units, from 21 to 31 (48% growth) and entered into GA, NJ, NY, SC, VA, and WA.  This quick serve frozen yogurt concept is open for lunch and dinner hours, with a $2-$6 per person price range.  Locations seat about 30.  Stores are franchised and trade in AZ, CO, FL, GA, KS, MO, NE, NJ, NY, SC, VA, and WA.  We last wrote about this company on 5/15/12 (40% growth).
