Riverside, CA-based MARKET BROILER has increased by 1 unit, from 5 to 6 (20% growth).  This is a family/casual seafood concept, open for lunch and dinner hours.  Per person check average is $10-$30.  The restaurants have full bar and seat around 250.  Catering service is available.  The company is also the franchisee of 2 Corner Bakery Cafes.  All locations are in CA.

Los Angeles, CA-based BIG WANGS has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  These family/casual restaurants serve American cuisine and are open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $10-$30.  The restaurants have full bar and seat around 150.  Catering is available.  All locations are in CA.

NY PIZZA based in Holly Springs, NC (founded 1991) has increased by 1 unit, from 4 to 5 (25% growth).  These are quick serve restaurants with seating for around 70.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$10.  Catering and delivery services are available.  All locations are in NC.

Florida-based ROCCO’S TACOS & TEQUILA BAR (founded 2007) has increased by 2 units, from 2 to 4 (100% growth).  The restaurants are family/casual, with a $10-$30 per person check average.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  The restaurants have a full bar and seating for about 100.  All locations are in FL.

Scottsdale, AZ-based FOX RESTAURANT CONCEPTS has increased by 1 unit for the North concept, from 5 to 6 (20% concept growth), 1 unit for Zinburger, from 2 to 3 (50% concept growth), and by 1 unit for True Food Kitchen, from 3 to 4 (33% concept growth).  Other company concepts include Blanco Tacos & Tequila (2), Bloom (1), Culinary Dropout (1), Modern Steak (1), Montana Avenue (1), Olive & Ivy (1), Sauce (9), The Arrogant Butcher (1), The Greene House (1), and Wildflower (1).  Overall company increase is from 30 to 32 (7% growth), due to a 1-unit closure for Bloom.  These concepts are mostly family/casual, open for lunch and dinner hours.  Multiple cuisine types are offered.  The restaurants have full bar and average seating for about 250.  Catering, banquet and online ordering services are offered at various locations.  Trading areas are AZ, CA, CO, KS, and TX.  We last wrote about this company on 7/12/11 (7% growth).

Birmingham, AL-based ZOE’S KITCHEN (founded 1995) has increased by 5 units, from 55 to 60 (9% growth).  This fast casual Mediterranean concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$12 per person check average.  Seating is for around 60.  Beer and wine are served at select locations.  Catering is available.  Trading areas are AL, AZ, FL, GA, KY, LA, MD, NC, SC, TN, TX, and VA.  Franchising is available.  We featured this concept on 2/22/11 (21% growth), 7/26/11 (9% growth), and 9/6/11 (10% growth).

New York, NY-based THE ‘INO FAMILY OF RESTAURANTS (founded 1998) has increased by 1 unit, with the addition of a new concept called Indie Food and Wine.  The company also operates Betto (1), Corsino Cantina Italiana (1), Ino/café Bar (1), Inoteca Cucina (1), and Inoteca E Liquori Bar (1).  Overall company increase was from 5 to 6 (20% growth).  These are upscale Italian concepts, open for lunch and dinner (Ino Café opens for breakfast).  The restaurants have full bar and average seating for around 100.  Catering and banquet facilities are available.  All the restaurants are in NY.  We wrote about this company on 8/16/11 (25% growth).

CORNER BAKERY CAFÉ of Dallas, TX, (founded 1991) has increased by 8 units, from 127 to 135 (6% growth).  These are fast casual bakery cafes with seating for around 80.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $4-$10.  Catering and delivery services are available.  Locations are in AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, MD, MS, NJ, NY, PA, TX, UT and VA.  We reported on this concept on 6/1/11 (2% growth) and on 10/18/11 (7% growth).

JIMBOY’S TACOS of Roseville, CA (founded 1954) has increased by 2 units, from 41 to 43 (5% growth).  These are quick serve Mexican restaurants with seating for around 80.  Beer is served.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  Locations are more than 90% franchised and are in CA and NV.  We last reported on this concept on 6/21/11 when they had 5% growth.
