California-based HOKKAIDO SEAFOOD BUFFET has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  This seafood buffet concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30 per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar service and seating for about 350.  Catering and private party services are available.  All locations are in CA.

Portage, MI-based SAMUEL MANCINO’S ITALIAN EATERY (founded 1980) has increased by 1 unit, from 25 to 26 (4% growth).  This family/casual Italian/pizza concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person check average.  Beer and wine are served and seating is for about 80.  Catering is available.  All locations are franchised and trade in IN, MI, and OH.

BOB’S STEAK & CHOP HOUSE based in Dallas, TX (founded 1993) has increased by 1 unit, from 9 to 10 (11% growth).  These are upscale steakhouses with full bar and seating for around 250.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $15-$50+.  Banquets are offered.  Locations are in AZ, CA and TX.

JOE’S BURGERS based in Portland, OR (founded 2010) has increased from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  These are quick serve restaurants with seating for around 50.  Beer and wine are served.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $3-$8.  All locations are in OR.

LAZY DOG CAFÉ of Huntington Beach, CA (founded 2003) has increased by 1 unit, from 11 to 12 (9% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with full bar and seating for around 300.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $6-$15+.  Catering is available.  All locations are in CA.

Monona, WI-based PIZZA PIT (founded 1969) has increased by 4 units, from 13 to 17 (31% growth).  This quick serve pizzeria is open for lunch and dinner, with a $3-$8 per person price range.  Catering and online ordering services are available.  The restaurants are franchised and trade in IA and WI.

Massachusetts-based MANGIA NEAPOLITAN PIZZA (founded 2003) has increased by 3 units, from 6 to 9 (50% growth) and entered into RI.  This fast casual Italian/pizza concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person price range.  Beer and wine are served and seating is for around 50.  Catering and delivery are available.  Locations are in MA and RI.

Trading areas are LA and TX.  We last featured this concept on 8/28/12 (13% growth).

NOODLES & CO headquartered in Broomfield, CO (founded 1995) has increased by 10 units, from 333 to 343 (3% growth).  These are fast casual restaurants with full bar and seating for around 90.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $6-$12.  Franchising is available.  Locations are in CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, OH, OR, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA and WI.  We last reported on this concept on 11/20/12 when they had (13% growth).

ANOTHER BROKEN EGG CAFÉ of Destin, FL (founded 1996) has increased by 3 units, from 26 to 29 (12% growth).  These are family/casual restaurants with full bar and seating for around 100.  Meal periods are breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $6-$12.  Catering and banquet services are available.  Locations are more than 70% franchised and are in AL, CA, FL, GA, IN, LA, MS, NC and TX.  We reported on this concept on 1/2/13 (24% growth).

Houston, TX-based SALTGRASS STEAKHOUSE (founded 1991) has increased by 2 units, from 47 to 49 (4% growth).  The restaurants are family/casual, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $10-$30, serving full bar and seating about 350.  Banquet rooms are available.  Trading areas are CO, LA, NV, OK, and TX.  We wrote about this concept on 3/27/12 (2% growth).
