Los Angeles, CA-based KING TACO (founded 1974) has increased by 1 unit, from 20 to 21 (5% growth).  These fast casual Mexican restaurants are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12 per person price range.  The restaurants serve beer and wine and have seating for about 60.  All locations are in CA.

Colorado-based SERIOUS TEXAS BAR-B-Q (founded 2001) has increased by 1 unit, from 4 to 5 (25% growth) and entered into NM.  This fast casual bbq concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $6-$15+ per person price range.  Beer is sold and seating is for about 70.  Trading areas are CO and NM.

Coconut Creek, FL-based SAL’S ITALIAN RISTORANTE (founded 1990) has increased by 1 unit, from 20 to 21 (5% growth).  This family/casual Italian and pizza concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30 per person check average.  The restaurants serve beer and wine and seat around 60.  Catering services are available.  All locations are in FL.

Vancouver, BC-based JOEY RESTAURANT GROUP (founded 1992) has increased by 1 unit for the Joey’s Restaurants concept, from 21 to 22 (5% concept growth) and by 1 unit for the Local Public Eatery concept, from 2 to 3 (50% concept growth).  Overall company increase was from 23 to 25 (9% growth).  The concepts are family/casual, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $10-$30, serving global cuisine.  The restaurants have full bar service and seating for about 250.  Trading areas are AB, BC, MB, ON, and WA.

New York, NY-based HAVANA CENTRAL (founded 2002) has increased by 1 unit, from 3 to 4 (33% growth).  This family/casual Cuban concept is open for lunch and dinner, with a $10-$30 per person check average.  The restaurants have full bar and seating for about 60.  Catering, private party, and delivery services are available.  All the restaurants are in NY.

Bloomington, IL-based MEAT HEADS BURGERS & FRIES (founded 2007) has increased by 2 units, from 10 to 12 (20% growth).  These fast casual restaurants are open for lunch and dinner, with a $4-$12 per person price range.  Units have seating for about 60.  All the locations are in IL.

BOARDWALK BILLY’S RAW BAR & RIBS based in Charlotte, NC has increased by 1 unit, from 2 to 3 (50% growth) and expanded into SC.  These are family/casual restaurants with full bar and seating for around 250.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $8-$20.  Catering and banquet services are offered.  Locations are in NC and SC.

Boston, MA-based THE AQUITAINE GROUP (founded 1995) has increased by 2 units, from 6 to 8 (33% growth) with the addition of 2 new concepts called Cinquecento Trattoria and Greenlight Café.  Other company concepts include Aquitaine (3), Gaslight Brasserie (1), Metropolis Café (1), and Union Bar And Grill (1).  The restaurants are upscale French concepts, open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $15-$50+, with full bar service and seating for about 300.  All locations are in MA.

GENGHIS GRILL based in Dallas, TX (founded 1998) has increased by 12 units from 95 to 107 (13% concept growth) and expanded into MD and KY.  These are fast casual Asian restaurants with full bar and seating for around 125.  Meal periods are lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is around $8-$20.  Locations are more than 70% franchised and are in AL, AR, AZ, CO, FL, GA, IA, IL, KS, KY, LA, MD, MN, MO, MS, NC, NM, NV, OK, SC, TN, TX and VA.  We wrote about this concept on 5/22/12 (13% growth).

Colonia, NJ-based MUSCLE MAKER GRILL (founded 1995) has increased by 12 units, from 56 to 68 (21% growth) and entered into AR, IL, MO, and OK.  This fast casual concept specializes in sandwiches and is open for lunch and dinner.  Per person check average is $6-$15+.  Units seat about 30 and offer delivery service.  Trading areas are AR, CA, FL, IL, MO, NJ, NY, OK, PA, and TX.  We last featured this concept on 6/12/12 (37% growth).
