Bobaloompia is a Filipino restaurant that will be opening in late January 2015 directly across from the University of Texas. Co-owner Alfred Llave says that the restaurant is designed to be “student friendly.” Their specialty will be spring rolls and Boba tea.
Ft Lauderdale, FL – Colada Cuban Coffee House & Eatery
Ft Lauderdale will see a new Cuban restaurant and coffee house opening in the spring of 2015. Owners Ryan Campbell and Alex Recioare want to change the face of Cuban cuisine in South Florida. They are aiming to give the restaurant the feel of walking into a Starbuck’s or Chipotle.
New York, NY – Streetbird Rotisserie
Chef Marcus Samuelsson will be opening this venture within a few months. It is described as a kitchenette and will debut in the long vacant commercial space at 2149 Frederick.
Lancaster, OH – Cherry Hill Pub
Billy and Lorena Smith will be opening this new restaurant in the former Bib’s Eastside Restaurant sometime in January 2015. The Smith’s have extensive experience in owning restaurants in the past.
Steamboat Springs, CO – The Wreck
The Wreck will be located in the former Tugboat Grill and Bar in Ski Time Square in the winter of 2015. Chad Gagliano says he will open the new restaurant sometime close to the end of the year.
Houston, TX – Jackson Street BBQ
Restaurateurs Bryan Caswell and Bill Floyd to open this BBQ restaurant at the former Houston Live site. They will be partnering with Greg Gatlin of Gatlin’s BBQ on this venture. They are planning on opening in either February or March 2015.
