Gift cards, free chocolate chip beignets offered to guests who help feed hungry children
Everyone can agree that no child should grow up hungry in America, and yet one in five kids across the nation will face hunger this year. In Louisiana, it’s one in four.
Throughout September, Ruffino’s Restaurant in Baton Rouge and Ruffino’s On the River in Lafayette are doing their part to end childhood hunger in America by supporting Share Our Strength’s Dine Out For No Kid Hungry campaign. Guests that make a $20 donation to the cause will receive a $20 Ruffino’s gift card in return. In addition, chocolate chip beignets will be provided to the entire table, compliments of Ruffino’s.
The gift card may be used on a future visit to either location through October 31, 2014.
“It’s really inexcusable that any child in Louisiana, or in the United States, should ever go hungry, but millions do every day,” said Ruffin Rodrigue, co-owner of Ruffino’s. “Thanks to the exceptional work done by Share Our Strength, kids across the Bayou State are getting the food and nourishment they need. We’re proud to dedicate an entire month to our ‘20 for 20’ campaign and we urge all our loyal diners to come by and contribute to the effort.”
Thanks to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign, every $1 donated feeds a child up to 10 meals. For more information, visit NoKidHungry.org.
