Popular salad bar concept prepares for May 18 grand opening

Salata Set To Make Oklahoma DebutSalata – the Next Generation Salad Bar – will open its first restaurant in Oklahoma City on Thursday, May 18.

The new Salata is located at 12200 N. MacArthur Blvd. It will be the first Salata in Oklahoma and among more than 60 nationwide.

“Salata is set to open six new restaurants in Oklahoma in the months ahead, but we are really excited and honored to be the ones to officially introduce our brand to the Sooner state,” said Bryan Jones, Salata operator. “We’ve assembled a great team and we are ready to become an integral part of the Oklahoma City community.”

On grand opening day, the first 50 dine-in guests at the new Salata will eat for free! But if you can’t make it in time for that, don’t fret; Salata will be handing out coupons, tumblers and pens on Thursday as well (while supplies last). Guests will also have the opportunity to enter a raffle to win Free Salata for a Year!

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by the Great Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. Doors open to the public at 11 a.m.

To add to the opening day excitement, Salata will have a live DJ on-site and host a fundraiser during regular business hours benefitting the American Heart Association – the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. The restaurant will donate 10 percent of the proceeds made on May 18 to the organization.

“We are excited to welcome Salata to our growing number of members throughout the Oklahoma City region and celebrate their ribbon cutting,” said Sunny Cearley, vice president of membership for the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber. “Members of the Chamber are the backbone of our organization and critical to our ongoing mission of making Oklahoma City a better place to live, work and play.”

Salata is renowned for its healthy, fresh and simple menu. The vegetables and fruits are chopped daily and the protein selection is fresh and lean. All of the dressings, soups and sauces are house-made and gluten-free.

The new location will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. For more information, please visit salata.com.
