$1 from each Ta Ta Tini, Motorboat, Tuna Tini to be donated to breast cancer research

The “Best Sports Bar in North America” is going all out this month to fight one of society’s most deadly diseases.

Throughout October – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month – Walk-On’s Bistreaux & Bar will donate $1 to breast cancer research from each purchase of three special menu items created for the fundraising campaign:

  • Ta Ta Tini ($7.75) – Absolut Citron Vodka, coconut rum, strawberry puree, sour and Creole bitters (strawberries have been identified as a cancer-fighting fruit!)
  • The Motorboat ($7.50) – Jack Daniels Tennessee Fire, Jagermeister, apple schnapps, sour and cranberry juice; and,
  • Tuna Tini ($9.29) – Seared Ahi tuna, Asian slaw, avocado and sweet chili glaze

“We are thrilled to offer a promotion to help raise money for a good cause, all while providing unique flavors through cocktails and a delicious appetizer,” said Brandon Landry, co-founder and owner of Baton Rouge-based Walk-On’s Enterprises.

Walk-On’s currently has five locations – two in Baton Rouge and one each in New Orleans, Lafayette and Houma. The first franchise location is scheduled to open Oct. 12 in Shreveport. Other locations will follow in Lake Charles, Zachary and Lubbock, Texas. Several additional markets across the Southern United States are likewise on the drawing board.

In May, New Orleans Saints superstar Drew Brees and his wife, Brittany, bought into Walk-On’s Enterprises as co-owners.
