Gordon Biersch brings back award-winning favorite for the 2015 holiday season

'Tis The Season For Delicious Brew At Gordon Biersch With The Return Of WinterBockIt’s officially the holiday season at Gordon Biersch! The brewery restaurant specializing in handcrafted lagers and ales brewed in-house announced today the return of its award-winning WinterBock. This full-bodied, dark beer is a fan favorite that pays homage to a style used by 11th century Bavarian monks, and features four different types of malt including Munich malt, pilsner malt, dark roasted caramel malt and black malt. To celebrate WinterBock’s arrival, Gordon Biersch will host special tapping parties Dec. 2 – 3 at select restaurants*.

“The holidays just aren’t complete until we bring WinterBock back on tap, and we’re thrilled to welcome Gordon Biersch fans in to celebrate the season by enjoying this festive and flavorful craft beer,” said Stan Frankenthaler, Chief Officer of Food, Beverage and Strategic Supply at CraftWorks Restaurants & Breweries, Inc. “We pride ourselves on creating exceptional lagers and ales that consistently deliver the authenticity and top-notch taste our guests have come to expect from Gordon Biersch, and WinterBock is no exception.”

Guests can give the gift of WinterBock, or any other favorite Gordon Biersch brew, to their loved ones with the restaurant’s growler special, debuted just in time for the 2015 holiday season. Now through Jan. 3, guests will receive a free screw top growler with the purchase of any beer fill – a gift that truly keeps on giving. Additionally, Gordon Biersch fans can also take advantage of the restaurant’s gift certificate promotion, and will receive two $5 certificates with the purchase of a $25 gift certificate**.

Earlier this year, Gordon Biersch unveiled its new, chef-driven menu, featuring made-from-scratch, seasonal recipes across the brand’s food, beer and cocktail offerings. Additionally, the restaurant chain began offering a wider variety of beers while staying true to traditional brewing methods; a wine list comprised of well-known producers from top growing regions around the world; and a fun cocktail menu focused on the classics.
