Wings ‘N More Express recently launched its first West Texas location at 4501 W. Wadley Avenue in Midland, Texas. Opening week was a huge success, serving more than 1,300 guests and 40,000 wings.
“We couldn’t be happier with the launch of Midland’s first Wings ‘N More Express restaurant,” said Kathie Grozdanich, Operating Partner and Managing Principal of SW Wing Group, Inc. “The Midland community has been so welcoming of us and we can’t wait for our new neighbors and friends to try our great wings. We think they will be impressed.”
The Wings ‘N More Express drive-thru/dine-in concept, founded by former professional football player Mark Dennard, has proven to be a unique alternative to the status quo of the fast food industry, delivering truly exceptional food and prompt service while providing a comfortable dining experience. The Midland location offers a drive-thru window as well as traditional dine-in service that can seat more than 60 people. The menu highlights hand-breaded chicken tenders, house-made burgers and sandwiches in addition to Wings ‘N More’s own award-winning wings. An assortment of ice-cold beer, available at the service counter, rounds out the menu.
SW Wing Group, Inc. has plans to expand the Wings ‘N More franchise operations throughout Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana and Oklahoma. Two more Wings ‘N More Express locations are set to open in Odessa, Texas later this year.
Wings ‘N More founder Mark Dennard’s love of chicken wings dates back to his days as a professional football player in the National Football League (NFL) where he played for the Philadelphia Eagles and Miami Dolphins. During his time in Miami, Mark had his first taste of Buffalo-Style chicken wings. It was love at first bite.
Upon his return to Texas, Mark and his family brought their style of beloved Buffalo-Style chicken to Houston, Texas and College Station, Texas by opening three restaurants from 1987 to 1992. Mark became not just ‘Restaurant Owner’ but a day-to-day, hands-on operator cleaning, mopping, cooking, working the cash register and planning employee work schedules.
In 2008, Mark and his son, Wes, desired to take the success of their existing restaurants to a larger market, thus developing Wings ‘N More Express, a dine-in quick service concept with a drive-thru. They soon opened their first unit, and success was immediate. A second Express restaurant was opened in 2010.
Today, Mark owns and operates five Wings ‘N More locations in Bryan/College Station, Texas and The Woodlands, Texas. Wings ‘N More and Wings ‘N More Express proudly serve award-winning wings, freshly breaded chicken tenders as well as burgers, salads, cold beer and much more. Additional units are independently owned. For more information, visit http://www.wingsnmore.com.
