Amada Debuts Refreshed Beverage Menu and Expanded Happy Hour
Cocktail enthusiasts in the Philadelphia area have fresh reason to pull up a barstool. Amada is rolling out an updated drink program across its Philadelphia and Radnor restaurants, bringing creative craftsmanship, high-end spirits, and interactive tableside presentations to the dining experience.
Each new drink pairs house-made ingredients with elevated glassware and custom garnishes designed to catch your eye before you take your first sip.
“In Spain, meals are meant to be shared,” said Jose Garces, chef and founder of Amada. “That spirit of Spanish hospitality has shaped Amada since we first opened our doors, and this beverage program is a natural extension of that vision. We wanted every drink to reflect the same level of care and intention that guests have come to expect from our kitchen.”
Tableside Presentations and Signature Sips
The updated menu highlights several inventive creations built around authentic Spanish tradition:
-
El Avión: A unique twist on the classic Paper Plane topped with a Manchego cheese garnish.
-
Tónica Amada: A Spanish-style gin and tonic served alongside a tray of fresh citrus and seasonal botanicals so guests can customize their glass at the table.
-
Vermuteo: An homage to the traditional vermouth sipping culture found across Spain.
-
Banana Carajillo: The concept’s sweet, modern take on the classic Spanish coffee cocktail.
-
Queimada: Designed for group dining, this flaming punch display is prepared tableside for larger parties and requires 24 hours advance notice.
The program also features an expanded lineup of traditional vermouths, Spanish Gintonicas, house-made sangrias, and zero-proof selections like La Sin-Gría, a alcohol-free version of their signature recipe.
“Every cocktail on this menu was crafted to complement the food while bringing its own personality to the table,” said Shannon Hall, vice president of beverage and innovation for SPB Hospitality. “We wanted it to stand alongside the food, not simply accompany it. Guests should leave talking about what’s in their glass just as much as what’s on their plate.”
Expanded Happy Hour Times
Guests can test out the new drink lineup during an updated happy hour running Sunday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The menu pairs discounted cocktails, wine, and beer with a curated selection of small-plate tapas.
First opened in Philadelphia in 2005 by James Beard Award-winning Iron Chef Jose Garces, the flagship brand honors Andalusian culinary heritage in a cozy bodega-inspired space. Named after Garces’ maternal grandmother, the concept operates spots in Philadelphia, Radnor, and Atlantic City.
