Award-Winning Fast Casual Chain to Donate 10% of Sales to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital on Sept. 21
Burger 21, an award-winning, “beyond the better burger” fast casual franchise, announced today its restaurant in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., located at 2949 N. Federal Highway, has re-opened under new ownership. To celebrate, the fast casual franchise will donate 10 percent of the restaurant’s proceeds to Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital on Monday, Sept. 21.
The Fort Lauderdale restaurant is now locally owned by existing Burger 21 franchisees Marc Osheroff and Dr. Handre Hurwit. The entrepreneurs also recently re-opened the Davie restaurant located at 2451 South University Drive, and plan to open two new locations in the South Florida market over the next several years.
“We’re thrilled to re-open the Burger 21 restaurant in Fort Lauderdale and bring the brand’s unique hand-crafted burgers and shakes back to the local community,” said Osheroff. “We’ve already experienced great success at the Davie location and look forward to bringing that same success to the Fort Lauderdale restaurant, while giving back to local schools and charities such as Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.”
In addition to offering guests a variety of chef-inspired beef and non-beef burger creations, like the Tex-Mex Haystack, Spicy Thai Shrimp, Black Bean and Mediterranean Chicken, the Fort Lauderdale location will also offer fresh salads, hand-crafted shakes, a gluten-free menu, and craft beer and wine by the glass.
