The smoke is rising once again on Fremont Pike as Dickey’s Barbecue Pit officially reopens its beloved Perrysburg location. Following a kitchen fire that temporarily halted operations, franchise owner and U.S. Army Combat Veteran Steve Mowery has rebuilt the restaurant to serve the greater Toledo area its favorite pit-smoked meats.
A Local Landmark Returns to Dickey’s Barbecue Pit
Mowery, who also serves the community as a local deputy sheriff, spent several months installing new fixtures and equipment at the 10413 Fremont Pike location. The restoration marks a major comeback for the locally-owned spot.
“This is more than just a restaurant to us,” Mowery shared. “After the fire, we were determined to come back better than ever. We’ve missed our Perrysburg neighbors and thank everyone for their patience while we worked to bring them an experience as special as this town deserves.”
