Famous Dave’s of America, Inc. (Nasdaq:DAVE) has taken their already delicious burger and blended in their Famous slow-smoked brisket to create a new line of five Smokehouse Brisket Burgers. And, to commemorate this introduction, five lucky burger lovers will win a free burger each week for a year (www.freeburgersforayear.com) as part of the Brisket Burger promotion.
The new line-up of half-pound Smokehouse Brisket Burgers includes the Smokin’ Hot Brisket Burger (house-smoked cheddar cheese and thick-sliced jalapeno bacon strips); Smokehouse Bacon Brisket Burger (crispy bacon and Jack cheese); Smoked Cheddar Brisket Burger (real house-smoked cheddar cheese); Famous Brisket Burger (juicy brisket burger); and Jacked-N-Stacked Brisket Burger (crispy onion rings, jack cheese piled high on juicy brisket burger). In addition to the five Smokehouse Brisket Burgers, the promotion also features a Smokehouse Chips appetizer – fresh-made BBQ chips layered with creamy cheddar sauce and topped with jalapeno bacon, diced tomatoes and house-smoked cheddar cheese.

In other Company News, Famous Dave’s took home several top honors on April 22 at the “Pork in the Park” competition held in Salisbury, MD. The event draws top competition teams from around the nation and over 35,000 attendees. It is billed as the largest BBQ competition on the East Coast and the 2nd largest Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) Competition in the nation. This marks the first time Famous Dave’s has competed in this event. Famous Dave’s competition team was awarded first place prize and a $1000 check for “Whole Hog” and first place prize and a $1000 check for “Best Pork Shoulder.” The BBQ is judged by a “blind” panel of KCBS certified judges who are BBQ experts, so the judges have no idea whose lip smackin’ BBQ they are rating. The “Pork in the Park” event was also attended by thousands of BBQ lovers who sampled the numerous BBQ vendors’ specialties and voted for their favorites, honoring Famous Dave’s with a “People’s Choice” award.
