Encourages Guests to Beat the Heat with the Limited Edition Lemon Cream Pie Milkshake
The Krystal Company, the brand famous for its signature square hamburgers, is helping you keep cool this summer the Southern way with its delicious limited edition Lemon Cream Pie Milkshake. In honor of National Lemon Juice Day on Saturday, August 29, Krystal Lovers are invited to share their admiration for the milkshake on social media and will be entered to win a complimentary shake.
To participate in the contest guests are asked to snap a picture of themselves puckering up to the sweet and tangy Lemon Cream Pie milkshake and post the image on their Twitter or Instagram using the hashtag #KrystalLemonCreamPie. Entries will then be selected at random to win a free shake courtesy of Krystal.
The Lemon Cream Pie Milkshake is a tasty blend of tart Minute Maid Lemonade and creamy, hand-spun vanilla ice cream. The frosted beverage has strong Southern roots and is inspired by a family recipe from Georgia native Alice Crowder, the Vice President of Marketing at The Krystal Company.
“When I think of summer I think of my momma’s Lemon Ice Box pie recipe,” said Crowder. “The same flavors are found in the Lemon Cream Pie milkshake and it instantly puts a smile on my face. When people taste the shake I’m sure it will do the same!”
This is just another way that Krystal has stayed true to its Southern roots for over 80 years. With more than 350 locations in 11 states, all exclusive to cities in the South, it sets the standard in cuisine for the locals who “know” food better than anyone else.
The shake pairs perfectly with Krystal newest menu additions the Single-Double-Triple sandwiches, which offer the iconic Krystal taste with single, double, and triple stacked patties. Meal combos include three of each selected sandwich, fries and a beverage for as little as $3.99.
But sadly as summer comes to an end, so will the Lemon Cream Pie Milkshake — so get it while it’s hot (the weather, that is!) At participating Krystal restaurants only.
Founded in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in 1932, The Krystal Company is the oldest quick service restaurant chain in the South.
